Character is not turning in first person mouse-look

SkyMarshall
Hey guys.

I like to play in first person whenever possible. It just feels right.

However, my character is not actually turning the head and body when I look around in first person. You have to move with "wasd" for it to actually respond at all. This results in me looking around and when I swap to third person my character is really facing a completely different way. This is annoying. I guess this happens because your first person view is actually just a camera where the head is supposed to be. But you should really look into fixing this. It feels awkward and less responsive.

(and actually confusing when going in and out of the map)

Thank you! This issue is so frustrating for me and like two people notice/care. :( I hope they get around to fixing it soon! It's really frustrating if you play mostly in first person!

I've suspected this was the case (especially when I cast a fishing line, the game switches to 3rd person, and I see my character facing a completely bizarre direction with the fishing line going back over his shoulder to the fishing hole). It's rather appalling as I assume this means that if I'm turning around in 1st person view, nobody else sees this.

Hopefully this is something that is addressed soon, as it creates a considerable dissonance when switching between 1st and 3rd person views.

I agree with you! I also like to play 1st person. I would love to see 1st person horseback riding too, but then I'm weird. The fishing thing, among lots of other things are pretty annoying. I know its not the most popular thing to play 1st person, but I think there are enough of us out there to warrant improvements.
