Does an "Essence of Weapon Power" potion affect a werewolf?

Title.

I just crafted a hundred of these things, but I hadn't even considered if it would have an effect on my claws as "weapons" before I slotted them. I can still use the stam boost they give me, but do I get the 20% extra "weapon" damage on my claws?

I tried googling but couldn't find a precise answer.

You always have weapon damage as a statistic, even if you don't have traditional weapons in your hands.

But if you have Hircine's Bounty/Rage/Fortitude slotted, you already get Major Brutality and Sorcery. Getting Major Brutality again from potions doesn't do anything extra. Identically named buffs cannot stack.

If you don't have Hircine's slotted or another source of Major Brutality, you will get that buff from the potions even in werewolf form.

The "Essence of Weapon Power" potion grants Major Brutality, increasing Weapon Damage by 20%. However, the Werewolf skill Hircine's Bounty (as well as its morphs) will grant Major Brutality and Major Sorcery while slotted, increasing Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%. The two sources of Major Brutality will not stack, making one or the other redundant.

I hope in the future we will get a Werewolf Grimoire skill so that we would have a 6th skill to pick from, but until then, there is no reason to use an Essence of Weapon Power, as Hircine's Bounty and its morphs will passively supply that buff for you.
