I placed a ticket requesting access to gifting for my account that has existed since beta. I have not heard anything since 4/28.

    Copy that. I will continue to... wait. Just a 10 year old account that shouldn't even have this restriction. A paying, established customer.

    Have a friend that made an account 6 months ago and they didn't have gifting restricted. Funny.

    I'll report back in a week or so to let everyone know if I have even received an initial response yet.

    I have received an answer and gifting has been graciously enabled.

    So do not despair folks. Just wait two to three weeks and you will get your answer.
