Hi all, wanted to follow up and get a check on how things are lag and latency wise. We see there are still updates from several noting that you are experiencing lag spikes and rubberbanding. Trying to get an update on if things have been improving, the same, or worse than previously reported. Providing an update to the team so any feedback would be great. Thanks all.

It felt like it got better for a few days post launch but that could have been because there was a significant drop in PvP?

I was in PvE and PvP yesterday and experienced the ping spikes in both - even have had it while inside my house doing furnishing stuff.

I've disconnected six times today. I did play for six hours, but in my opinion averaging a disconnect every hour is a pretty darn poor average when that number should be 0.

Long load screen times. Queue for a BG and get kicked from the game, with error code 334 Lost Lobby Connection. This has been happening since the patch for Gold Road on PC

Sunday my guild was running a trial and one of the guildies were booted from the game. She was having issues where it would say her account was still logged in, while we could see that she was logged out. We had to kick her from group and add her back once she was able to log back in. She said she was stick in a log in queue for 3min after that.

Rawl’kha was bad for doing writs on June 7 around 7:00 pm Eastern time. Horrible lag. Doing writs took 4-5 minutes. It would hang even when in the creation screen for writs.

I’m now doing writs in Alinor because it’s “normal”, even though usually more characters. Writs there take 1-2 minutes from pick up to drop off.

West Weald has occasional lags in animations and periodic wayshrines showing “target out of range” when you’re right in the middle of the wayshrine.

I usually play in the mornings (EST), not at night, but tonight I played for a while and experienced lag, rubber banding, and was booted from the game several times. When I'd try to log back in, I'd get the message "booted from server". I eventually was able to get back in, only to be booted again 5 minutes later. Rinse and repeat 3-4 times. This was the worst I've seen it, but like I said, I rarely play in the evenings.

I am not sure of the cause but I am finding npc's render very late in some delves and dungeons. They appear as if they had been invisible/ stealthed and often disappear again if they leap to range. I thought this was a new mech for some npc classes but it's not consistent when running the same public dungeon or delve in West Weald. I wonder if the new model quality selector is affecting this?

My ping is also consistently higher than usual. The connection to eso server is the same through my vpn (about 220-240ms) but the in game ping is 280-310 with spikes in high pop zones. (This is with or without vpn) I am also getting Cyro like skill lag inn delves and dungeons and trials, randomly.

I've crashed a few times (with the send error to microsoft option) in last 24 hours. Until then, apart from the high ping, the game had been stable(crash wise) for me post patch.

The past few days since the Chapter release, ive had practically no latency issues, PC NA, CST USA. Its been /nearly/ flawless...

However, today, all of that seemed to undo itself. it has been tolerable rubberbanding/lagging most of the day, but approx 10pm EST (9pm CST) every few seconds ping spiking to 600, 700, 900 (no 999+'s though) in cyrodiil (GrayHost). has been doing so for around an hour now. smaller ping spikes while no ones around, huge ones while other players are around (but im talking like, 24 players on screen, not even the faction stack tri fight zergs, just normal keep fights causing these ping spikes)

checking things outside of ESO seem fine.

I don't know that anyone wants to hear this.... but I'm not having any issues like the rest of you are reporting, at all. I haven't the entire time you all have been having the issues - which would be since the first week in May (in this thread) through current day.

I always have a higher ping than people who live in an area with "real broadband" rather than a satellite connection. But I don't have disconnects, lag problems with skills firing, none of it. I wish you all some help with the issues ASAP!

My area has no fibre. There's copper, but ADSL plan pricing is prohibitive.
Satellite suppliers view gamers as less important than GPS farmers so ping's never less than 999.

I'm tethered to my mobile's internet access.
    400+ ping.
    Max 24 fps.

The Firror hardware upgrade made some real improvements for me, especially the frame rate.

Most of the time ping is around 120+ nowadays while my norm has been 80-100, so that's a bit hightened. Plus lag still happens unexpectedly and randomly no matter what you do at the moment it happens. Could be a dungeon or it could be some trivial resource-gathering in a remote lonely area.

This has been my experience up until I last played Saturday/Sunday.

It has been this way since 2-3 weeks before the most recent patch went live.

@ZOS_Kevin My issues went away after the back end maintenance until yesterday. It was pretty bad trying to quest and gather mats. My issues "generally" happen around 7AM-9AM CST and 1PM-3PMCST.

I have a 2-3ms connection to the server. I no longer go through Akami since the backend maintenance. Not sure why but I only have a couple of hops to the server now. I do live near the server. Could throw a rock at it. :)

Will submit tickets as it happens. I run pings, -t, and tracerts and I see no packet loss when this is going on or latency issues in the pings or tracerts.

I'd love that - but Starlink isn't available here. I had to get a refund for the Starlink setup in the SUV because it doesn't work here and they were charging me for it after the first (free) month.

Besides their own issues that ZOS has confirmed, there have also been a lot of global network issues going on for months now that have nothing to do with the game.

If your ISP is using an affected network to connect to ESO, then you're going to have issues. This is why you can still access other things online except ESO and why it doesn't happen to everyone.

I just switch to another ISP that uses different networks when my main ISP has ESO connection issues then I'm good to play. I know that's not something everyone can do, but I'm just sharing info in case you can.

My overall ping is still sitting 20-30 higher than usual. Ping still going extremely high sometimes, 600-1000ms. Occasional weird desync when casting skills, it feels like they get queued up and then all fire at once when the game/server tries to catch up to it.

PvP is extraordinarily bad lately. It feels like midyear mayhem during regular nights and if we get pop capped it's basically completely unplayable, high ping, low fps.

PC/NA. Tried to play in GH today around 2PM EST. Population was 2bar/1bar/0bar. One single fight happening on the map involving maybe 30-40 players maximum.

Entire map was completely unbearable. Huge skill delays, sometimes abilities simply not firing whatsoever. Ability casts rooting you in place on activation. Entire zergs of players rubberbanding.

Haven't seen anything like this since before the servers got replaced.

Very laggy this morning in PvE and I was booted once. However, I found some websites slow to load too, so wondering if it was a network issue.

I've been booted once as well trying to switch characters. Funny how my ping in game is quite high today but all testing still shows my 2-3ms to the server, no dropped packets and no issues with my ISP. Speed tests are normal, 980 Mbps down/ 970 Mbps up.

Agreed, last night was hands down the worst experience I've had since making this thread. I don't have data to back up this claim but it seems like the population in cyro is lower than previous weeks so I'm kind of surprised by the increase in lag.

Also had issues trying to look items in PvE land and couldn't switch gear.

Still awful lag/skill firing/rubber banding EVERYWHERE and yes especially Cyrodiil.

Give it about a minute before you try to log back in - let the game register you got kicked. If you try to log in too quick you'll get the error that keeps you from getting back in.
