The Elder Scrolls Online v10.0.3 includes several adjustments to Scribing including reducing the length of the chase for Scribing (particularly regarding the Script chase for alts), increasing the drop rate of Luminous Ink, and some rebalancing and updates to various Grimoires and Scripts. Also included are several fixes and adjustments for Lucent Citadel and Gold Road content, a few fixes for combat abilities and item sets, and more. The size of this patch is approximately 489MB.

    • Curative Runeforms
      • Arcanist Domain: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs could not be dispelled.

      • Shield Wall
        • Shield Discipline: Fixed an issue where this Ultimate’s cost reduction to abilities did not work with some permutations of the Shield Throw Grimoire.

    World
    • Mages Guild
      • Equilibrium: Increased the base duration of this ability’s Major Resolve to 27-30 seconds based on rank, up from 22-25 seconds, now that Everlasting Magic has been adjusted.  Overall this should result in a 1-2 second increase when combined.
        • Everlasting Magic: This passive now increases the duration of Mages Guild duration abilities by 1/2 seconds, rather than 10/20%. 
        Developer Comment:
        This change was done to fix truncation issues and reduce its potency with some of the abilities in the skill line.

    Crafted Sets
    • Varen’s Legacy: Fixed an issue where this set didn't consistently proc with Scribed Skills that had Area of Effect attacks. These will now be properly enhanced. 

    Dungeon Sets
    • Maligalig’s Maelstrom: Fixed an issue where this set could work on non-group members.

    Overland Sets
    • Macabre Vintage: Fixed an issue where this set could fail to respect its own cooldown in some cases.

    General
    • Based on feedback received, we have reworked the Class Mastery Script chase to significantly reduce the length for alts. Class Script Scraps can now be individually consumed to advance the "A Signature with Class" achievement, and Class Script Scraps will no longer drop for the account once it has completed the Achievement.
      • When this Achievement is completed, that character will be granted the Class Script item immediately and other characters can purchase the Class Script item from Chronicler Firandil in the Scholarium.
    • Reduced the cost of the rotating stock of Scripts that you can purchase from Chronicler Firandil and Filer Ool in the Infinite Archive.
      • These prices are reduced both in the initial price and in the discounted price once you have knowledge of a Script. 
    • Increased the drop rate of Luminous Ink from non-boss monsters in the world, to give more opportunities to interact with Scribing.
    • The Plentiful Harvest passive now also awards additional Luminous Ink.
    • You now only need to play through “The Second Era of Scribing” quest to have full access to the Scribing system and its rewards on alt characters. 
    • Other characters can now purchase the Scripts awarded from the “Wing of the Indrik” quest from Chronicler Firandil in the Scholarium.
      • If you already have these Scripts unlocked on your character, you will no longer receive them from the “Wing of the Indrik”.
    • Removed duplicate redundant texts in some Grimoire descriptions.
    • Updated some confusing error messages to more accurately represent why you couldn't purchase a Script from the Scribing vendor.
    • Fixed several issues where fixtures were clipping in the Scholarium.
    • Fixed a number of maps that weren’t displaying your character’s pin.
    • Fixed an issue where the tutorial for completing a scribe wouldn't necessarily appear.

    Grimoires
    • Elemental Explosion
      • Interaction with Dispel Focus Script
        • Fixed an issue where this Grimoire/Script combination did not remove area effects inside of it if there wasn't also an enemy inside the impact area. 
        • Fixed an issue where this Grimoire/Script combination wouldn't dispel Contingency's Growing Impact Signature Script effect.
    • Mender's Bond
      • Fixed an issue where this ability could feel clunky and did not weave properly with other combat animations. 
    • Shield Throw
      • Fixed an issue where the cost of Shield Throw was not in line with other abilities.
      • Updated the cost of Immobilize, Knockback, Pull, and Multi-Target Focus Scripts to 3780 Stamina.
      • Fixed an issue where the knockback could desync the target's position.
      • Fixed an issue where Shattering Throw would utilize the target's stats instead of your character’s stats.
    • Soul Burst
      • Fixed an issue where the cost of Soul Burst was not in line with other abilities.
      • Updated the cost of the Physical Damage Focus Script to 3213 Stamina.
    • Trample
      • Fixed an issue that allowed Trample to be used while on cooldown if you did not have an active mount.
      • Interaction with the Hunter's Snare & Thief's Mobility Scripts
        • Fixed an issue where the area effects left by these Grimoire/Script combinations could not be dispelled.
        • Fixed an issue where the area created by the Warden class script could not be dispelled.
    • Vault
      • Interaction with Thief's Swiftness (Reduce Fall Damage) Signature Script 
        • Reduced the fall damage reduction bonus on this Script to 15%, down from 50%, so you can no longer carefreely ignore most falls in the game.
        • Fixed an issue where some fall damage reduction bonuses were additive with one another, rather than multiplicative. This will reduce their effectiveness when stacked together, so they operate like normal damage taken reductions and prevent reaching 100% mitigation.
      • Fixed some issues that could allow you to exit the playable game space with Vault, and reduced the maximum height to prevent situations where the ability could be used to get to unintended locations.
      • Fixed an issue where Fiery Vault (Flame Damage Focus) was not properly counted as a Weapon Ability and therefore didn't interact with the Redguard's Martial Training Passive. 
      • Fixed an issue where your character wouldn't animate properly while bashing or dodge rolling immediately after casting Vault. This Grimoire will now properly disable your ability to take other actions while you are moving.
      • Fixed an issue where this ability did not have a stacking cost increase if cast in rapid succession.
    • Wield Soul
      • Fixed an issue where the cost of Wield Soul was not in line with other abilities.
      • Updated the cost of the Pull and Stun Focus Scripts to 3780 Magicka and Physical Damage Focus Script to 2295 Stamina.

    Class Mastery Signature Scripts
    • Necromancer Class Mastery Signature Script
      • Fixed a typo to improve the clarity of the maximum number of delicious corpses counted for the buff. 
    • Nightblade Class Mastery Signature Script
      • Increased the duration of the Critical Chance bonus to 5 seconds, up from 2, and increased the amount of Magicka and Stamina restored from 187 to 333.
    • Sorcerer Class Mastery Signature Script
      • Updated the targeting on the following Grimoires to allow the effect to hit enemies near your target instead of near your character, to better support all player types: 
        • Elemental Explosion 
        • Shield Throw
        • Trample
        • Traveling Knife
        • Wield Soul
    • Templar Class Mastery Signature Script
      • Reworked this Script to grant new effects, replacing its old functionality in favor of a more generally applicable bonus with no drawbacks.
      • Updated the bonus to provide 1320 Armor and 150 Weapon and Spell Damage for 5 seconds. If Sacred Ground is active on you, these values are increased by 50%.

    Signature Scripts
    • Anchorite’s Cruelty & Anchorite’s Potency
      • Anchorite's Cruelty (Soul Burst Grimoire):
        • Updated this Script to deal 2.8% of the target's maximum health every 2 seconds over 10 seconds, up to a max of 2800 damage per tick.
        • Increased the cooldown to 10 seconds.
        • Known Issue: Please note while this script currently does less damage than previously, it does not correctly apply the DoT aspect. This will be resolved in a future patch.
      • Anchorite's Cruelty (Wield Soul Grimoire):
        • Updated this Script to deal 1.5% of the target's maximum health every second over 5 seconds, up to a max of 1500 damage per tick.
        • Increased the cooldown to 5 seconds.
      • Anchorite's Potency (Soul Burst Grimoire): Updated this Signature Script to grant 3 Ultimate once every 5 seconds.
      • Anchorite's Potency (Wield Soul Grimoire): Updated this Signature Script to grant 4 Ultimate once every 5 seconds.
      Developer Comment:
      We have received feedback that there were limited opportunities for counterplay with the current implementation of Anchorite's Cruelty and the consumption rate of Soul Gems was too high. We have made an adjustment to improve both these areas and keep these Scripts in parity. 
    • Lingering Torment & Sage’s Remedy
      • All Area of Effect Grimoires will now apply Lingering Torment for 20 seconds to match their Affixes, which are Minor Buffs and Debuffs.
        • Elemental Explosion
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature Script now lasts for 20 seconds and ticks once every 2 seconds, rather than lasting for 5 seconds and ticking once every second.
            • Decreased the damage per tick by ~12% so it deals less damage per second, but more total damage.
        • Smash
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature Script now lasts for 20 seconds and ticks once every 2 seconds, rather than lasting for 5 seconds and ticking once every second.
            • Decreased the damage per tick by ~12% so it deals less damage per second, but more total damage.
          • Sage's Remedy: Increased this signature's healing per tick by 100% with this Grimoire.
        • Traveling Knife
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature Script now lasts for 20 seconds and ticks once every 2 seconds, rather than lasting for 5 seconds and ticking once every second.
            • Increased the damage per tick by ~9%, resulting in less damage per second but more total damage.
        • Soul Burst
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature Script now lasts for 20 seconds and ticks once every 2 seconds, rather than lasting for 5 seconds and ticking once every second.
            • Decreased the damage per tick by ~12% so it deals less damage per second, but more total damage.
          • Sage's Remedy: Increased this Signature's healing per tick by 100%.
        • Ulfsild's Contingency
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature Script now lasts for 20 seconds and ticks once every 2 seconds, rather than lasting for 5 seconds and ticking once every second.
            • Decreased the damage per tick by ~12% so it deals less damage per second, but more total damage.
          • Sage's Remedy: Increased this Signature's healing per tick by 100%.
      • All Single Target Grimoires will now apply Lingering Torment & Sage's Remedy for 10 seconds to match their Affixes, which are Major Buffs and Debuffs. 
        • Wield Soul
          • Lingering Torment: This Signature now lasts for 10 seconds, rather than 20. Increased the damage per tick by ~36%, so it deals more damage per second but less total damage.
          • Sage's Remedy: Increased this Signature's healing per tick by 20%
        • Shield Throw
          • Lingering Torment:
            • This Signature now lasts for 10 seconds, rather than 20.
            • Increased the damage per tick by ~36%, so it deals more damage per second but less total damage.
      Developer Comment:
      We had received feedback that the DoT Signature Scripts (Lingering Torment) were generally not feeling impactful enough. We have made a wider change to better match these with their Affix length, as well as adjusted the total damage. We have also increased the output of Sage's Remedy (Healing Over Time) Signature Script to remain in parity.

    Affixes
    • Updated the Affix length on Minor Affixes for Area of Effect Grimoires to be 20 seconds. This includes the following:
      • Elemental Explosion
      • Smash
      • Soul Burst
      • Torchbearer
      • Trample
      • Traveling Knife
      • Ulfsild's Contingency
      • Vault

    Quests
    • Second Era of Scribing: 
      • Fixed an issue where alternative quest grants for the Scribing tutorial were showing up for characters with no Champion Points and below level 30. 
      • Fixed an issue where if grouped, Nahlia wouldn't always follow you through the initial run-up area.
      • Fixed some missing quest markers.
      • Fixed issue where Nahlia would stop casting when talking to her.
      • Fixed an issue where the tutorial for completing a Scribed Skill wouldn't appear. 
    • Wing of the Indrik: Killing Delve Bosses will now properly share amongst your group.
    • Wing of the Dragon: Fixed some issues with player pins.
    • Wing of the Netch: Updated a number of quest assist map pins to be more accurate.
    • Wing of the Gryphon: 
      • After you complete the Gryphon wing, the Gryphon and the Fox will no longer go missing, but rather are still in their wing. 
      • Fixed several quest assist pin issues.

    UI
    • Added support to link Scribed Skills in chat.
    • Updated the Armory Text to call out how loading Armory builds will not change how a Scribed Skill is configured.

    General
    • Fixed a number of monsters that were not properly tagged for purposes of Companion rapport or responses, including Ogres, Snakes, and Goblins.
    • Fixed an issue where Bastian would not properly respond to being in a Mages Guild in certain cities.
    • Mirri is now more likely to use her other line when you're in a protracted duel with another player.
    • Fixed an issue where several companions would not properly identify cities.

    Lucent Citadel Trial
    • General
      • Lightbringer Acolytes once again prefer to remain at range in combat.
      • The correct number of Treasure Chests are now present within the Trial.
      • Made visual improvements to NPCs once the Arcane Knot is deposited.
      • Entering the area of Radiant Prisms will no longer place you in combat.
      • The portal will no longer be removed when the Arcane Knot is deposited, allowing you to return to the top of the Sunken Ruins.
      • Reduced visual issues with several effects throughout the Trial.
    • Count Ryelaz and Zilyesset
      • The Mirror of Opposition will now block all restore effects through it.
      • Count Ryelaz and Zilysset will now always cast their Annihilation ability as intended.
      • Improved the sound effects for Count Ryelaz.
    • Orphic Shattered Shard
      • Mirrors will now always be the correct settings when engaging the encounter.
      • Volley will now only deal damage when the visual effects are present.
      • Volley now does magic damage rather than fire damage.
      • Visuals for the Mace are now always present when the ability is used.
    • Arcane Knot (Final Encounter)
      • Corpses from previous encounters will no longer persist once the Arcane Knot is retrieved.
      • Made the following changes specifically for Hard Mode:
        • Reduced the duration of Arcane Knot and Arcane Fracture.
        • Arcane Fracture will now deal increased damage to targets already affected by Arcane Fracture.
        • Xoryn’s Fluctuating Current will now do increased damage to targets who maintain it for too long.
        • Increased the damage of Glass Eyes, which is now a Hard Mode-only ability.
      • Xoryn’s Tempest Assault now only displays the blue telegraph to targets instead of allies to improve visual clarity in the fight.
      • Increased the damage of Baron Rize’s Shear, Gloomy Impact, and Brilliant Ray abilities and they will be used more often.
      • Crystals will now take longer to reconstitute when destroyed.
      • Necromancers in this encounter will no longer run have a chance to away from the fight.
      • Necrotic Barrage will no longer dispel player abilities.
      • Increased the radius of Necrotic Barrage.
      • Crystals no longer have a chance to persist if the crystal barrier is destroyed.
      • Dead player characters will now be properly moved to the Arcane Knot.

    • Adjusted locations of books and safeboxes throughout the zone.
    • Certain environment fixtures that were mis-appropriately interactable are no longer interactable.
    • Fixed an issue with a guar that liked playing with fire too much; he will no longer attempt to run through a cooking fire.
    • Fixed an issue where the Skyshard in Fort Colovia wouldn’t display on the map if you had collected it and had the “Acquired Skyshards” filter checked on your map filters.

    Achievements
    • Completing any Scribing Quests that reward 3 Luminous Ink now correctly increments the Ink Acquirer, Ink Accumulator, and Ink Amasser achievements. For realies this time.

    Itemization
    • Mirrormoor Mosiacs will now award blue quality or better Overland Item Set jewelry at level 30 or higher.
    • Fixed an issue with the Skingrad Reward Coffers where they were unintentionally dropping Necrom structural furnishings.

    • Added a Tales of Tribute location to Skingrad city map.

    • Fixed an issue where some Guild Traders in Skingrad would not display Guild Tabards.

    Mirrormoor Incursions
    • Reduced the number of Area of Effects produced by the Conflagration ability and the visual effects will no longer persist longer than intended.
    • Visual effects for the Mirrormoor Rifts will now always appear when intended.
    • Loot dropped from the Mirrormoor Champions will now always spawn in the center of the Mirrormoor Mosaic.

    Quests
    • Ayleid Altercations:
      • You can now only enter the Vestibule if you, or someone in your group, has unlocked the door.
      • Narsis now only shows up at the appropriate time and place.
    • Hold the Line: The waves of Daedra now spawn correctly when you need to defeat Shardborn.
    • In Memory Of: You can now correctly place the Abolisher and continue the quest.
    • Ithelia’s Fury: Fixed an issue where you were blocked from progressing while inside the Loom.
    • King Nantharion’s Gambit:
      • Fixed an issue with Quest Assists not appearing.
      • Fixed an issue where you could lose Dame Alea Idolus as a follower if your character died during this quest.
    • Seeds of Suspicion: You can now talk to Dame Alea Idolus after witnessing the Echonir vision in Hoperoot.
    • Self-Preservation: Fixed an issue where you could collect more river flowers than intended, blocking quest progress.
    • The Untraveled Road: Skein of Secrets now displays correct locations, including Wendir, when viewed.
    • Vesper Valente: Fixed an issue where you could not speak to Fennorian after group members gathered the ingredients for the counteragent.

    Zeal of Zenithar
    • There is now a proper portal to Belkarth at the Skingrad Impresario tent during Zeal of Zenithar. 
    • The Zeal of Zenithar help entry now correctly lists that you can get boxes from participating in Infinite Archive with a guilded groupmate.
    • The screens on character select and the Announcements panel for Zeal of Zenithar now call out guildmate activities as part of the event, at the expense of the Impresario mention. Curse you, character limits!

    Furnishings
    • Fixed an issue where Skingrad Reward Coffers were dropping Necrom Structural furnishings. 
    • Fixed an issue with the Collectible Furnishing, "How to Scribe," where a preview was not available in the Collections menu, even though it can be earned through in-game play.

    Homes
    • Fixed a few minor visual issues with Merryvine Estate.
    • Adjusted one of the Lantern furnishings in Zhan Khaj Crest so it no longer floats.

    Gold Road Prologue Quest
    • Prisoner of Fate:
      • Fixed an issue that could cause Leramil to be unavailable if you entered Ithelia's prison again instead of speaking with her.
      • You can now reach a portal to Grahtwood at the end of this quest, though you may not see Leramil create it.

    • Moved guild history client cache files from persistent cache (e.g.: AppData on Windows) to personal (e.g.: Documents) on PC/Mac.
