Layman's version of the Code of Conduct...?
After reading the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct, I'm still confused. It sounds like the primary things we can't say are discriminatory. "Protected categories" and all. How far does that go? And is that it?
- Would a PvPer be banned for calling someone a f** in the heat of the moment?
- Can we be banned for shouting an obscenity when we die to a boss?
- Is profanity prohibited?
- Can you be banned for participating in ERP?
- Can a guildmaster be banned for cursing out an under-performing player?
- Is it against rules to provoke an argument?
- Are we allowed to express anger, ever?
- Is it against the rules to participate in an innuendo-heavy conversation?
- Are dirty jokes against the rules?
- Does "trolling" get you banned from the game?
Most games just censor what you say to people who choose to use the chat filters. People who choose not to use the chat filters can see and participate in whatever conversations they want to.
