Maintenance for the week of November 4:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – November 6, 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EST (23:00 UTC)

My disappointment is immeasurable, and my Jubilee is ruined.

And where did you previously say that they'd get back the rewards they lost in addition to the days by which the event is extended? How would that even be determined? Some people farm 10 boxes a day, some 50, some 100. If everyone who was locked out got 100 boxes per day missed, you'd be whining about that instead. There is no fair compensation.

"PTS people got it handed over for nothing"

Being unfairly prevented from playing the game during a big event for 10 days isn't "nothing".

"...for being out of the game a few days."

Might have felt like a "few days" if you weren't locked out or didn't care much about those who were. These "few days" were about half the event.

"Why are you pandering and catering to the minority group who was affected?"

Compensating frustrated players for a mess of colossal proportions they had no part in creating isn't "pandering".

Their compensation doesn't affect you in the least, as others have already pointed out. And bear in mind compensation is something given to make up for loss suffered; you complain as if the locked outs had been rewarded. I'm glad they got the pages, as they missed half the event and not all had already collected all 5. What's more, they're getting 16k seals while having lost 10 days worth of event box farming and double XP.

Yes, ZOS was disrespectful towards the rest by cutting the event short. They should have extended the event, especially since that would allow the now restored locked outs to farm boxes or take advantage of double XP, if they so desired. ZOS was also wrong to set abysmal drop rates for the style pages. Furthermore, they were wrong to ignore complaints about drop rates and not even acknowledge our frustration with the maintenance timing. The real slap in the face was how they set and ended the event, not the compensation. As for the PTS disaster, that was more like a roundhouse kick to the face.

    I admire people.
The entire ship shook from the impact and those who were especially curious flew overboard. While the rescue operation is underway, a group of people keep knocking on the captain's bridge demanding that more peppermint pudding be immediately added to the buffet table.

If this had been a film script, it would have failed at the box office.

So are you just not reading the thread at all lol? I've said it multiple times. I also said GOLD boxes, meaning the 1 you get a day. Not purple boxes. Obviously there's no way to know how many they would farm, so that variable shouldn't even be considered. I said daily rewards, meaning gold boxes. "you'd be whining about that instead." Nah, it's funny that you're assuming things about me. Compensation should've been missed daily rewards, event extension, and reimbursed for ESO+ days. You clearly don't get the point at all, and I won't be trying to explain this very simple concept to you anymore. Good day.

So you would opt for compensating them with the bare minimum they would have gotten for just logging in and barely even playing. Now that would be a slap in the face if I ever saw one.

People getting hung up on the style pages thing. Like I said, it's not my main issue. The only reason I bring them up is part of the poor thought put into compensation. Yes, compensate them. But make it reasonable.

I consider it pandering when they short change the majority of players who were trying to enjoy the rest of their event and boot them off at reset on the last day of event.

My main point of this post is how badly Zos dropped the ball on what was supposed to be a huge celebration of ESO, which just ended up being a dumpster fire [snip]. The PTS thing never should have happened, and the way they should have resolved it was by extending the event, not cutting an ENTIRE server off early because they wanted to get peoples' accounts back 4 hours sooner. Which, by the way, made absolutely 0 sense. The event would already have ended because they didn't extend it. What difference would 4 hours make for someone who can't play anyways, when there are THOUSANDS of people still playing?

PTS banwave never should have happened, obviously. [snip] That's a given. However, they shouldn't have gone about fixing things the way they did.
