And where did you previously say that they'd get back the rewards they lost in addition to the days by which the event is extended? How would that even be determined? Some people farm 10 boxes a day, some 50, some 100. If everyone who was locked out got 100 boxes per day missed, you'd be whining about that instead. There is no fair compensation.

Being unfairly prevented from playing the game during a big event for 10 days isn't "nothing".
"...for being out of the game a few days."
Might have felt like a "few days" if you weren't locked out or didn't care much about those who were. These "few days" were about half the event.
"Why are you pandering and catering to the minority group who was affected?"
Compensating frustrated players for a mess of colossal proportions they had no part in creating isn't "pandering".
Their compensation doesn't affect you in the least, as others have already pointed out. And bear in mind compensation is something given to make up for loss suffered; you complain as if the locked outs had been rewarded. I'm glad they got the pages, as they missed half the event and not all had already collected all 5. What's more, they're getting 16k seals while having lost 10 days worth of event box farming and double XP.
Yes, ZOS was disrespectful towards the rest by cutting the event short. They should have extended the event, especially since that would allow the now restored locked outs to farm boxes or take advantage of double XP, if they so desired. ZOS was also wrong to set abysmal drop rates for the style pages. Furthermore, they were wrong to ignore complaints about drop rates and not even acknowledge our frustration with the maintenance timing. The real slap in the face was how they set and ended the event, not the compensation. As for the PTS disaster, that was more like a roundhouse kick to the face.
