Did/will your character(s) become a murderer for Bonus Seals of Endeavour?

With the "Criminal Activities Event" running at the moment, the temptation to do illegal things has risen significantly - at least for those caring about Seals of Endeavour.
And while many of us don't mind the occasional acquisition of goods from uncooperative sources, quite a few seem to draw the line at murder.

So I was wondering - did anyone who wouldn't have done it before murder citizens of Tamriel to get those shiny Seals?

Yes! My character didn't commit murder before, but for so many seals - just couldn't resists, mate!

The glory of being able to create multiple toons is you can have your goody two-shoes main AND your thief/murderer toon separately. Everyone’s happy (except your targets LOL)! ;)

I'm a very diligent collector of Seals myself, so it was quite the annoyance to see that this really neat event idea for bonus seals included one of the very, very few things I'll never do in this game.
But I just don't have - or ever want to play - a character that would fulfill this requirement, so I take it with a laugh and am still happy about the bonus for the thievey things. My charming rogue of a Khajiit lady has no problem doing those. ;)

No. I am not at all tempted by the SoE, first. Second, I never play TG or DB material in TES, never have, never going to. I would love to wipe the floor with them all, but that's not possible unfortunately.

Yes. All my girls are goody-two-shoes; that's really the only trait any of them share with me - outside of insatiable curiosity.

I have multiple characters with varying degrees of bloodlust, so I don't really have any issue with the endeavors from an RP standpoint. That said, I absolutely hate feeling like I have to do specific endeavors to get larger rewards. Maybe I don't want to complete a black sacrament today.

When all of the endeavors are equal, I can do something else, but when the black sacrament is worth 5-10x as much as the alternative, it feels like I have a lot less of a choice.

If it were up to me, all daily endeavors would be worth 15 seals every day, with no variation, ever. As-is, I feel like I'm getting punished for picking the wrong endeavor, or even just for logging in on the wrong day (and either getting only 10 seals per endeavor, or missing out on some day where I could have gotten 25). The same applies to the weekly endeavors, where I wish they were all just worth 250 seals every week.

I have a seperate character for that stuff, but if I don't have time to relog to it then the endeavours are left unfinished. This week is different since they are worth more, but if it's just ~10 seals then I don't even bother. I like to keep my main clean.

I don't do the whole RP thing with my characters. I don't feel bad about "murdering" nobody NPCs that respawn, especially when it gets me extra seals.

Most of my characters won’t attack anyone except in defense of themselves or others, and those that are thieves run away if they are caught and can’t produce a “pardon” fast enough!

I don’t think I would have created an evil character just for the Seals because it took me a long time to do so for what did finally bring me to the dark side — that “light and shadow” skull with candle furnishing. I had always hated the DB, but there are some interesting characters, especially Elam Drals, so I guess I’m glad I made one to do the dirty work for my account, ha.

    True enough. B)
But there are still people like me who may have toons in multiple shades of goody two-shoeness, but still can't bring themselves to run around with characters who would outright murder people. Just don't find them likeable...

Well, for starter, we can create many characters. So the question should not be about ONE character, but if the player will create a thief or assassin character for the seal.

I have one assassin and another thief. Both Nightblade. It's the BEST class to rob or kill efficiently. Other classes are not good for the task. But people try anyway.

I do really enjoy Elam - his brand of snark is very much like my own. But I don't have to mess with the DB to enjoy the moments in game with him, thankfully.

Yes, I see my error. I should probably have talked about "the account" rather that "the character". Thought my little explanation would make the meaning more clear than it did.
I had assumed that people who have a dedicated assassin/murder character would just take the "my character did commit murder before", because that's the toon they'll use to do the endeavour in question anyway.

My vampire necro assassin is very efficient and has potions for those times you want extra insurance against being seen. And being a necro, I imagine he could leave a temporary, uh, decoy of his target… B)

I play 12 different characters each with their own moral code. Some good, some evil. One of them, my Imperial Stamina Nightblade is a top rank Silencer in the Dark Brotherhood who wears the Black Hand Robe, and for that privilege Sithis The Dread Father demands sacrifice from time to time...

Hmmmm, there is a time when I would have said that I do not RP characters. In interacting with folks on this forum; I realized I do. I may not craft huge stories (or even small stories) that my characters interact with but they each have their own personalities, likes and dislikes, morality and rules by which they are played.

And this is why its great to be able to have multiple characters. I have two that are morally ambiguous. Both Templars......

One of them will take on any job that pays. The other will only take on jobs that align to a greater justice. She never murders beggars nor does she steal from them. She only steals from the rich and from Mages. She accepts only those contracts she wants on the condition that her explorations determine the person is not an innocent. She donates her proceeds to the orphans. This is also the character that did Black Market Mogul; haha.

    So; I have options!!!!!!!

My truly goody two shoes warden would never even think about those seals. When she accidently steals an apple while trying to interact with something else in the environment, she races to a guard to confess and throw herself on their mercy.

I took my main through the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines years ago, my headcanon for the DB stuff is that it’s a dro-M’Athra pretending to be her. (It’s revenge for the Maw of Lorkaj.) Eventually I’ll take my Nightblade through those and then he’ll probably take over those tasks.

ESO involves doing so many chores that have nothing to do with any of my characters' personalities, preferences or backstories, I don't even think about this kind of thing anymore.

My main is supposed to be in the middle of a quest in Apocrypha, embroiled in some epic, world-ending threat (again). It doesn't make sense he's travelling all over Tamriel doing surveys, sitting around in Vivec crafting a zillion writs and sealed writs, moving furnishings around warehouses halfway across the continent, etc... doesn't really matter if murdering someone is in-character or not, none of the rest of it makes sense either. ;)

I've had an evil character since before the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLCs came out, although he got deleted and remade as a necromancer after Elseweyr. He was originally created for those times a quest offers me a choice and I thought one of the choices was obviously terrible, but I was curious what would happen. Those DLCs just gave him more to do.

Although aside from being curious about the options I don't like playing an evil character, so these days he mostly just does the odd bits for endeavours. I have a mental list of neutral NPCs who are horrible people for when murder is one of the endeavours, and a few preferred locations for stealing, although my main is a khajiit so she will also helpfully relocate items carelessly abandoned in containers.
