Character re-Customization

Will there be a re-customization of our characters?Some people rushed to play the game and start leveling and they might not be quite satisfied with their character's looks or they are bored,or they would like something different.Would they have the chance in the future to correct their mistakes or change their character's looks?

None that I know of at the moment. What the future brings I don't know ... but I doubt it will be more than getting a haircut or similar things (maybe as an option in the shop).

I hope so too. At the moment I am really happy with my current character. But after awhile the same look gets a little boring

I'm convinced that we will be seeing a character customization option in future, but such features often come later in MMOs. If anyone is starting to hate/regret their character's appearance I'd suggest rerolling.

They said that it will be coming later as a paid service ie. cash shop.

Propably it will come but with a price. Still I would use it. Now that I'm wearing heavy armor, I really wish I choose a greater beard.

If anything it'd be like WoW's race change or alliance change feature, only for recustomization. They may still also have an in game gold purchased haircut that doesn't include a character total re-customization seeing as they are two totally different things.

As far as I know, there WILL be a shop. Though we don't know a lot about the things they intend to sell there ...

I think so, Similar to WoW. Hopefully nowhere near as expensive tho am I right! haha.

There is going to be a cash shop, at the moment the only thing known to be sold in it is a horse but i'm expecting a lot of fluff items to go in it.

They announced the cash shop last August.

People do realize that WoW accepts money for things like name changes, faction changes etc as well right? Same concept as a cash shop. Nothing new.

Also, why would you leave if they were to include a cash shop? I don't understand that reasoning.

To stay relevant to the discussion, I do hope they allow for re-customization of character in the future. I wouldn't mind if it were through micro-transactions, I'd just want the option to be available. Hopefully they'd also introduce new hairstyles, character costumes and the like.

I'd like something that works like WoW's barber shops added in the game.
I hope they're not planning making simply changing your haircut or adornment a payed service. I don't play f2p games because they're filled with crap like this.

Regardless, please help me understand why micro transactions affect you as an individual and why on earth it would lead you to unsubscribing...

I just don't get it, just like in WoW, people said "Ohh nO! im canceling wow because people can re-customize their character or buy level 90, ...uuhh ma guudd..." I really don't understand what the deal is with giving people the option to customize their class, perhaps race change as well. Lore wise it hardly matters, hardcore gamers are in the majority, they do not care much for faction lore or race change.

Imo, the target audience of the game wasn't lore mongers, but people who would be interested in a different mmo with ofc, the attraction of it being "Elder Scrolls" or so they claim. Then again it's their product, they have every right to claim it to be an ESO or not, public opinion in that matter is rather insignificant as the design is to get paid by people playing. Anyway, I went completely off topic there.

If they do institute a cash shop I hope it's for cosmetic / vanity things like mounts, pets and the like. If they start selling game-changing items ( see STO! ) I'm done.

There is a search function. Over on the right side of your screen. This thread has been created so many times already.

We do not know, but everyone expects it to show up in the cash shop.

I know it's the bane of MMOs that every little fix or improvement is sold through a shop. However, this is one that could be implemented in either a patch or a future add-on without having player's pay extra for it.

However, I'd like to limit it to cosmetic changes and not include racial changes. My character can get a hair cut, paint their face, get a tattoo, buy a different crown or something. Something like this could be done without impacting the immersion of the game in any significant way - and really isn't something we should have to pay for.

But then I thought people shouldn't have to pay the Imperial race, either.

I think that with a subscription based game the "barber shop" should be available without paying with real money..

Mostly likely will be one of the few things that you will have to pay out of pocket for... But if it isn't and instead costs a very high (10k+) amount of gold, I'll be quite happy.

I wish... I don't like the way my high elf looks in his gear he's tall and skinny very lanky lol and would like to change some of his appearance, he's level 41 ATM so starting over would kind of suck plus I put a lot of work in getting all professions up.

I'm afraid if there ever will be an appearance change feature it would be from the store. That's the greed of MMOs these days.

It's 2014, most MMO's have some form of a cash shop now, even WoW has a small one. So you should probably cancel now before you invest more time into the game, because I guarantee it will be added to the game eventually. And when it does, I'll be dropping $200 bucks on it like I usually do lol.

i would love to remake my khajiits appearance. i love how she looked when i made her..then i became a vampire and well..that prety black fur went POOF and now i look like im pushing 100 lol though when i am stage 4 her fur is white and she looks awsome
