We need a May event.

May's event will be that there is no event. Which is the rarest event of all.

It's an almost neverending celebration on ESO as it is. While they can be ignored, I really feel like ZoS needs to take a pause, step back, and reconceptualize the events cadence just as much if not more as they did with the release cadence.

Start of last year. As per my last post in this thread, we've had two old expansion wide events in the last twelve months. Guilds and glory (2024) and gates of oblivion (2023) with Elswyr at the start of the year (2023).

So if they rotate through each expansion set again, we'd have Daedric war celebration (morrowind, Summerset, clockwork 2022) and Dark Heart (Greyhost and Markarth 2022) to do before another Elswyr event.

Murkmire also hasn't seen an event in a long time, but that's it's own little DLC.

We usually get an event for the current zone a month or two after release too (bounties of Blackwood, heroes of high isle, secrets of telvanni).

If it's one week and towards the end of May, fine. But between Jester's and Jubilee, that's too much event fomo for me.

The "Chapter Celebration" events tend to be for the Chapter 2 years previous, so the next one in line looks to be a High Isle one.

The "Current Chapter celebration/community event" will be for Gold Road a few months after release (end of September)

Yes and no. They've done two old expansion cycle celebrations, and one new expansion celebration a year for the last two years or three years. Guilds and glory is from 8 years ago? Then last year they had Gates of Oblivion and Elswyr. Then the previous year they had Daedric War and Dark Heart in 2022. There's a "2 year previous" and something from long before.

So they might do high isle next, but they might also cycle back further and do a Daedric war, dark heart, or even Murkmire event before that. The only people that definitely know are the ZoS event team.

But I still imagine we're a long way off seeing another Elswyr event heh.

How about an event in which we don't worry about tickets, just do what we normally do, don't grind for countless hours and, *knocks on wood*, don't get a portion of the player base locked out of the game?

The only one I could do after this would be that Explorer’s Event where I can just quietly farm nodes and get double drops and participate however much I want.

The "event" I proposed was meant to be no events at all, but I wouldn't say no to an Explorer's.

This year's anniversary was longer than usual and I happy that it was because I was able to finish a few character's leveling and accumulate some mats along the way.

But I agree, event fatigue is a thing and its time for a break
