Is Dragon knight with a bow viable or plain dumb choice?

I need something ranged for PvP on castle walls, but i'm not sure about DK+bow... Please give me some help!

It's conceivably possible. To make it more effective, I'd pair bow skills with those dragon knight abilities that have some range to them. I'm not familiar enough with DK abilities to suggest anything specific, but every class has some melee, ranged, and healing abilities, although in different proportions.

I love having a bow on my DK. It may not be optimal for some here but the DK's stonefist skill mixed with the bow knockback skill (volley I think) really work well together.

Oh, thank you, i just do not want to spend two skill points for a test. I have very few of them at my 10 lvl.

Dragon Knight with bow is totally viable, especially for PvP. There are plenty of 3rd party sites with fanatastic theorycrafting builds that you could use. Sites like http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline and http://tamrielfoundry.com/forum/classes/dragonknight-class/.

Yes, but i'd imagine that would put a heavy reliance on DK's to focus on Magicka, Which lets be honest, is already a bit taxing. And considering most of the DK's fire skills are close and personal, kinda means you're gonna be taking some hits every now and again, with light armour on you really can't afford that.

Now the bow is a great source of single target damage, AoE and offers reliable kiting and performs well in group and solo combat situations. Don't forget you can also morph volley to deal fire damage and pair it with burning talons and fiery breath for an awesome AoE combo.

The bow option also allows you to solo quite a few elite world bosses too, if that floats your boat. Here's a build i used on my DK during the 3 betas i was in to great success in PvP and PvE. On the contrary, the armour buff you can get right away is designed specifically for that purpose. It isn't for heavy armour wearing DKs, as you get diminishing returns. It's an ability for those who need to go down the magicka line for the use of class and destruction staff skills.
