Minor fixes. Major issues!

EDIT: The AddOn ESOhead/ESOmarkers seems to cause framerate perfomance issues. (Still stand by the other issues mentioned)

Hello all,

So, after occupying my time elsewhere while the servers were brought down for maintenance, I finally logged back in, and honestly, I feel incredibly disgusted right now.

It feels like Zenimax brought down the servers for no reason at all. This is not "doom and gloom", or anything like that. But I expected quests to be at least fixed, and do-able, and while yes some are. I've ran into countless one's that just can't be done, due to the monster not spawning, or simply because I cannot place an object down anywhere. This raises the question, "What the heck did you bring the servers down for over 12 hours for?" Nothing seems to be fixed, and the game just overall in general feels worse.

I was enjoying the Beta, but seriously, you've had all the time in the world to fix these problems through Beta's, PTS, etc. Why are we still in Beta? It's an absolute joke. 5 days early launch, I definitely expected to be rough, and I still do expect it to be rough, even after launch, but I expect to make some type of progress throughout the game. I sure to hate missing half of a level due to some bugged out quests, and it makes me think lesser of ESO, knowing it's been through countless Beta's which obviously was an act of publicity, and nothing more.

Now, the ugliest thing about the entire patch I've seen, is performance issues. I ran this game on Ultra settings, getting frame-rates of over 80fps+, anywhere I was traveling. Now AFTER this update, I'm struggling to move my camera around due to these sudden frame rate drops, it's almost as if my PC is coughing everytime I try turning my camera now. This is absolutely in no way acceptable. My PC is a high-end PC custom built, and upgraded every half a year, to a year. There is no reason I should be having these problems. This is just like Guild Wars 2 after one of their updates, all hell broke loose, and it got to the point where some users either had to turn down their visuals, or flat out quit. I sure would love it if I could have the optimization that was prior to this update again. Honestly, I can't imagine supporting, and paying subscription fee's (which I had planned on doing yearly) if you screwed up on what used to be amazing performance issues.

Reading through the patch notes I was thinking to myself, "Man they sure did a lot!", all excited to hop back into the game, and now I almost want to turn off the game and never look back.

Another small issue which I guess was obviously a bug, or not intended was being able to move at a "running" pace while casting spells. Even if was unintentional, I definitely enjoyed that a lot more, opposed to being a tortoise again.... You should give that some more thought, and make it so I can run again =). Of course, I'm sure the reasoning behind walking is more or less PvP reasons, which I can understand.

Long story short- QQ Bad performance now. When you bring down servers for that long, try to actually "fix" something. Not make it worse.

We just published an update to the Esohead Addon that should fix some of the issues users have seen with it. Version 0.1.7 is now available over at ESOUI.
