Game will not load after patch.

After updating the dock to the latest patch I cannot load my game. It gives you the option to click play, but does nothing from there. Any suggestions?

    Anyone else having this issue?

Maybe try running as admin. Or if possible log out and back in to your user account on your computer

I just tested mine, and it launched fine. Maybe a file got corrupted? Have you tried the repair function?

I had a similar issue occur during the beta. A launcher file got corrupted, and I had to redownload/reinstall. Hopefully, you don't have to go to that extreme.

I closed the client out entirely, opened it back up and it worked, try that.

That makes no sense considering I did "restart" and it solved nothing.

This fixed it for me. Close your antivirus and then relaunch the program...

All I had to do was close out the client entirely like the previous person then re open it to get in. :)

The game does not like being monitored by Webroot SecureAnywhere. As soon as Webroot injects the DLL for monitoring, the game dies. There is a ticket in with Webroot to correct this, however it appears that they are currently swamped by ESO players.

Currently the only solution is to Shut Down Webroot SecureAnywhere protection. Setting the executable to Allow does not impact the problem as Webroot continues to monitor it anyway, and no unknown DLLs appear to be being loaded.

Fixed. You may now run Webroot and ESO together.

If Webroot doesn't know it yet, Shut Down protection, then restart Webroot and do a scan (Usually takes about 2 minutes).

Since the 4/7 patch the problem has reared it ugly head again. I had this problem after the last patch, and some how it got fixed??? The work around for me was to turn off the webroot "Realtime Shield" and press the PLAY button on the launcher. When the login screen appears, you can turn Realtime shield on and play the game.
