Any reason to keep my Templar and Necro characters around?

You never know what change will come and all the sudden a different class is the best. I would recommend buying a couple more character slots for any new builds you want to try and using the ones you don't use for storage.

Except they aren’t even using the skill designed for troll tanking, Sun Shield.

That entire skill, both morphs, are completely bricked in PvP, and in PvE Radiant Ward is average, and that’s putting it nicely.

Necros are still great OTs for trials. As for DPS, there are still spots reserved for EC cros in trials, although EC Wardens may now be considered after this patch, it probably still wont happen.

Now, when people make generalizing statements like, “Templar is bad” or “Necromancer is bad” chances are, they are talking about their specific use of the class.

For example, Templar… this class is great at dueling, decent at group support in PvP, average at PvE DPS, average at PvE Healing, yet is HORRIBLE at PvE tanking and outnumbered PvP.

So if someone who mains a Nord Templar, or someone who lives in Cyrodiil and Imperial City is telling you that Templar is horrible, chances are, they are talking about their specific form of content.

This is not to write off anyone with a desire of improvement, but to explain to people that there are other perspectives than their own, as the game has a plethora of content, and some classes are just not getting the support they need in areas that people want to enjoy.

You can full send damage and your heals scale with your damage, yet you move like a turtle the whole time, making it completely unviable in open world.

That is one of the only ways to get your class abilities to do any form of damage whatsoever in PvP.

People assume that because the class can do work with jabs and backlash when you have Essence Thief, Deadly, and Sea Serpent’s Coil on that the class is fine. It’s not.

Actual PvP is not a 1v1, it’s chaotic, people will kite you, avoid you, and burst you down. They won’t let you stay on top of them, and your healing won’t save you when you have a hundred status effects on you and your only escape is a purge of 5 negative effects.

i still try to do something with all my characters every day, 2 templars 1 nightblade 1 dragonknight 1 warden 1 sorcerer 1 archanist 1 necromancer. i like them all the same regardless of thier differences not sure when i'll choose the last 2 characters but i would never delete one

The only reason would be that you can't buy something better. For whatever reason.

Strangely, I believe classes like necro WILL eventually be balanced in pvp, the devs just seem to be focusing on other matters for the time being

I will always love magsorc main so I’m content, pvp wise. Only thing that needs to go is this obsession with stam arc in pve… balance changes at some point should help that
