Currently you need 5 pieces of the class set outfit pieces to gain the visual effect however when wearing a hat or hiding the head slot your visuals will disappear if you’re using the class set outfit as the head slot.
I’d like to know is this a bug or intended? And if intended, would ZoS care to change this so I can wear a hat/hide slot and keep the visual. I’ve spoke to a good amount of guild mates and all agree that would be a far better design.

How does it work? I've been looking for a way to disable most visual effect from my characters.
My tank, for example, has a purple glowing on the sword that I don't know how to remove. You are saying that we have a way to disable that?
I was wondering if you could hide the head or use a costume and keep the glow, but don't have enough of the style pages yet to test (I just keep getting weapon pages so far), so it's good to hear confirmation.
This removes most of the motivation of farming the styles for me, since I really wanted the effect for my sorc, but the sorc style itself is ugly beyond all measure (and the set itself too terrible to use in any content as well). I'd have farmed the place for ridiculous hours if needed if the effect worked with a costume.
