Those who have two ESO accounts, apart from a new ID, what other things should I know of so as not to have any problems?

You also have to have a second and different email addy. Other than that, you won't have the stuff you bought from the crown store on the new account. Whenever you want to play new content, you have to buy chapter/DLC for both, or pay a sub for both.

      That's about it.

You can use the same Email if you throw a . in there. If this has any other issues IDK but it's what I've been doing for a few years now without a problem.

        Example@Example.com for account 1.
        E.xample@Example.com for account 2.

Well, yes. That's what I do more or less - I have mine with an added number for the other accounts - example@whatsit.com, example1, and example2 etc.

I own 13 accounts, so if you have any specific questions OP.

There's not much more to know though that comes to mind.

As mentioned you'd have to re-purchase content if you want it on the second account.
Have to re do a lot of bits if you want to, such as mount training.

They can be useful for sending mail to rebound, extra daily writs, extra event drops.
You can leave sticker book slots open to farm a specific item on it too.

That works, but the main problem I had with that, and why I decided not to do it, is that it isn't immediately obvious which account it is for.

GMail is pretty easy to sign up for, so I used different email addresses.

I just wrote it all down as I created them.

I can't delete this and missed it so here we still are.

It can be a problem when you get mail to know which one it's for, though IMO there's not much mail where you would need to know the specific account, other than when logging in and needing a code for it.
Which hasn't been an issue for me.

it's not easy to use crowns from one account to gift to the second account anymore. There's something like a 6 month period involved, I'm not sure if it has to be 6 months of ESO+ or not.

That is definitely an issue, but the way I handled it was to make sure that my main account has gifting permissions. After that, I try not to get Crowns on any other account, especially ones that don't have gifting. Naturally, that means no ESO Plus on those account, as that comes with Crowns. I gift outward from my main account.

        i run 3 accounts.
first: they have nothing common. i set up several different local Windows accounts, so each has different profile and i can use different addons. The game is installed on other than system drive and don't need to have different copies of the game, which is very convenient as it is to be updated/patched only once.
select your main account. invest mostly into it.
for example, only one my account is subscribed, its house contains everything useful: trial dummy, crafting stations, banking, merchant and decon assistant, vampire fountain, etc. other accounts just teleport there (normally with one keypress as on PC i use "Go Home" to port not to current account best house, but to the main account hub house with all them bells and whistles). other accounts send materials they harvest to the main one because of the only instance of the glorious craftbag.
for other accounts i invested into the best character crafting to acquire housing storage for vouchers (and you don't need a big house for all the 8 coffers - during free ESO+ trial week you can deploy all 8 in a small house like Twin Arches in Bangkorai). Also i created as many characters as i could and trained horse capacity first, so the undeveloped toons are working as the walking bags. so, in summary i can access quite a lot of storage to hoard a lot of crap.
You just use ingame mail between accounts to send style pages, gear, furnishing plans, etc to where they are needed/hoarded

I have multiple accounts on PC and have never had an issue logging into each one separately using my same PC client.

        BUT

I will caution you AGAINST using them at the same time on the same PC.
This is supposed to be ok according to @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , ESO Support and the ToS, see this thread for ref: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/652046/is-using-an-alt-to-list-items-on-guild-traders-against-tos#latest

However, I tried exactly that one evening for something fun to do.
I started 4 separate client instances on the same PC, logged in the 4 separate accounts, one on each, using no macros, etc. (I had left addons enabled, I think that is what caused the issue below) So my high CP main and 3 sub-lvl 20 characters.

Assembled my intrepid group of Me x 4 and ran a dungeon.
It was fun, kinda felt like turn-based combat in BG3 and controlling 4 separate characters you have to get comfy with alt-tabbing a lot LOL.

Finished the dungeon, went to try and trade low level gear at the end of the run, couldn't get trade to work. Didn't think much on it and decided I didn't care about trading the sets so signed off.

Next day I signed in on those 4 accounts, I discovered each one had been slapped with what I would later learn was a social ban.

Opened a ticket to Support and they did release the social ban on all 4 accounts but shot me a warning about "Intentionally attempting to trigger system mutes is considered Reverse Engineering of the game client" and further threaten that if it continued I could get a temp or perma ban...

I asked for clarification bcuz I have zero idea wth that even means and was slightly worried that I could get perma banned for doing something wrong unwittingly.
They only replied that if I did not do "it" intentionally then there was no more concern. But never did tell me WHAT the heck I did wrong.

The only thing I can think of is that because I left addons enabled and using the same client perhaps it was one of more addons doing background updating or some other process 4 times at once tripped an anti-cheat algorithm.

I have not tried testing that theory because frankly I'm too worried about being banned. Kinda sucks because I had an awesome "group picture" in mind to try with all my characters\accounts. Don't even want to touch that idea now lol.

I'd have said that as long as you don't hotbox your accounts (Is that the term?), so basically playing both accounts at the same time using one input for both, or scripts, and just manually control them you'd be fine, but after what Ten said, I'm a little worried about using my own alt accounts to help with grinding loot

I had a similar experience on the EU server using four accounts on two computers. While I have not had problems alt - tabbing two accounts to get wayshrines on a new character, I no longer run four at the same time. Similarly, I tend to run the two on different computers, just in case. On the one hand, I had a letter from support specifically saying the four account thing was okay, on the other, once bitten twice shy. Of course, I no longer spend money on the alt accounts, either...

Nah, I don't intend to use them simultaneously - more 1)like a storage, and 2)a way to begin anew.

But, @Tenthirty2 , thanks for the feedback nonetheless. It is a great warning against people having "funny ideas".

The Support has answered, as I have been unable to log in, so now I'm waiting to get the access code.

My second account has a main character with all the horse training completed, on the other account I wasn't so focussed because I wasn't sure who was the main character so the horses and crafting are all over the place. I needed to be more focussed on both accounts.

If my inventory is full and I'm miles from the a bank I email excess stuff to my 2nd account. I sometimes just return it rather than sending specific items and storing them on the other account.
