Does this achievement pop from using the furnishing items?
    Don't tank

No. I bought them putting them in my bakery. If you put them in your house, you can only activate or deactivate. At least the whole cakes anyway. From the OP's post, looks like you can buy the slices.

You already had to for some of the housing related achievements, either a crown purchase of the house or a high gold purchase plus another achievement.

Was too busy studying to play :(

What if I told you that, for tens of million of gold, you can.

Do those vouchers still work? Donolon appears to be gone from the game, so the quest they start doesn't seem to be completable.

all of the housing achievements can be done without using crowns

spending gold is a non issue, i mean there is a few achievements specifically about that (paying off bounties, give to the poor, the orsinium treasury one)

These achievements can be done without crowns also though. Tickets may be a much more limited and non tradable currency but don't require crowns.

they might eventually, at a minimum 22 of the 60 tickets for this event are required to complete the achievements (7 for the cake slices, and a minimum of 15 have to be spent to get the mount achievement if you dont miss any days)

so that only leaves about 38 tickets to budget for the rest of the event collectibles that you want to obtain that dont have associated achievements

As mentioned, you get the title and achievement for buying the 7 slices with tickets. Why are people complaining about this? You are never satisfied. I think it's wonderful there's a fun title that I don't have to grind out ala Star-Made Knight or Magnanimous. There are SIXTY tickets possible during this event. And you can't spend just 7 tickets?

I may buy another 2023 slice, it's very cool looking

For clarification, you get the achievements by buying the cake slices fromthe impressario, and yes, I did it on PTS.

that seems like an awful precedent then, needing to waste like a dozen tickets to get an achievement, if there is no other way to do it

Agreed. And we’ll have to see if we can purchase slices if you don’t have the associated cake (because I know you can’t buy the furnishing if you don’t have the memento).

from the official anniversary event post on the cake slices:
Anniversary Cake Slice furnishings (unlike the full cakes, you do not need to own the respective year’s cake memento to buy these!)

my huge concern though is if there is no way to get them outside of buying them with tickets

Okay, that's good to know then. But also...why add achievements that have to be purchased with currency? What is the point?

As the person above explained, it's 7 tickets for the achievement which A) is the first time we've been required to spend currency such as this on an actual achievement, rather than just cosmetics or consumables and B ) if you add the additional tickets you need to spend to get the horse, you're a little over 2/3 of the way through your tickets for the event, assuming you can complete all days.

To all the people saying "it's only 7 tickets, whats the big deal?" think about this. As others have mentioned, this is the first time that event tickets have been required for the completion of an achievement, which is a bizarre necessity. Also, are you forgetting that that there are other items in the Impresario's store that have to be purchased during this event?

    Lets break it down
The event lasts for 20 days (including the 20th day technically being a roughly 4 hour window in the early morning of a Tuesday)
So assuming someone is able to truly benefit from all 20 days they'll have earned 60 tickets.

Now if someone needs the whole pet built, thats 15 tickets right there, so we're down to 45
Now add in the two new fragments from this event, 10 each, so 20 more gone, we're at 25
The jubilee confetti packs need 25 and appear to only drop from the 1-a-day golden box (I'm yet to acquire one from a purple box out of 100's) meaning that at most you'll get 20 of them and they cost 3, THREE!, tickets each (and were even specifically called out in the event news article as being needed to be bought with tickets.)
That means another 15 tickets gone so now we're left with 10.
Take the 7 for the cake slices and you have 3 remaining for the whole event.
This doesn't even account for the event specific style pages at 5 tickets each, or the Bag of Yesteryear if someone needs that, or to collect any of the replica cakes besides for this year only (which could be where the last 3 tickets are spent)

Ultimately you have to be essentially perfect throughout this whole event and even then you cant take part of everything without having to actually buy more tickets, and IMO that is not how an event should be treated, especially to celebrate the game being supported by these very same players for 10 years now.

I get that some people didn’t like not being able to buy cakes for years they didn’t participate. There was a long thread about it. I think the cake slices were created for that. That way they were able to have slices for every year, regardless.

However, they tied it to an achievement. I don’t care about cake slices but I like to do achievements. So now I have to buy 7 slices of cake with 7 tickets that I will just stick in a house somewhere (and I had to move all the cakes to a new house because that and the slices is getting ridiculous). I’m not making a bakery like many have said they’d wanted to do.

They could have had the slices to buy but not made an achievement that required buying all of them. More tickets for other stuff.

I think it's a bit of a shame that we're having to use tickets to the cake slices, but it's not the end of the world and they are a fun furnishing item.

That said, I think it's a valid point that there is often a lot to buy with tickets which are a very limited resource.

Going forward, I'd love it if ZoS could find a way to open up ALL of the significant historical items so that people can finish what they might have started, or acquire items they never got around to collecting. I feel like this would be awesome for new players, too.

(I don't mean a rotating selection as we have now - I mean when there's an event on let's have access to the lot - maybe expand the Craglorn vendor area to accommodate it.)

this was the point i was trying to make lol

i usually even try to help "game" the tickets to get more value out of them (carrying 10 tickets over at the end of the event, stocking up on morphable pet fragments before i need to recombine them) so i can optimize my tickets to be able to get other things

in most cases i still cannot even save enough tickets this way to get the old non combat indrik pets (10 tickets each) im missing, or even try to use them on grab bags to see if im missing anything

so while this event touts as being 60 tickets worth, at least 1/3 of those are already "reserved" if you want the achievements (cake slices + mount)

the mount should have been no more than 15 confetti packs, so it could be doable within the event without spending tickets, and the cake achievements should have incremented just by eating the cakes (regardless if they are yours or someone your grouped with)
