Why does ZOS hate Templars?

It's very clear at this point that ZOS wants Templars to retire and to play Nightblade. Every patch Templars get shafted and the silver spoon fed Nightblades just get stronger and stronger. What does ZOS have against Templars? Were just a beam bot at this point and die quickly

Sure seems this way to me too. NB is insanely OP in PvP, and templar keeps getting nerfed when they're already tied for worst performing class. Even necro can be built to be stronger than templar now. The new team at ZOS is not good at class balance at all.5 -

One. They only have a skeleton crew for class changes, balancing etc so just not enough people for the workload that we all want done.
Second is maybe all the new players who are buying crowns and a subscription for their first foray into the game overwhelmingly choose NB over Templar and Necro. Hence, keeping NBs performing well will keep the new blood coming in.0 -

ItsNotLiving✭✭✭✭Templar is hard to balance because pre u35 jabs were so strong you could one jab entire health bars in PvP with a good enough build but jabs is all they had. PoTL is unavoidable damage if you play right so if it’s too strong it’ll make players mad because they see it on a recap. Honestly beam is just a meme outside of PvE, templars have no room to slot it in PvP unless they give up bubble cleanse or a snare removal. I don’t know what they can do with Templar but I hope they do something because the class feels gross to play and on top of that it has less burst than Necro (and we all know that bit of funny business).1
