Maintenance for the week of November 4:
• [IN PROGRESS] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – November 6, 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EST (23:00 UTC)
Nope and I also don't see the need to. Grinding CP feels pointless once you reach a certain level thanks to the reworked CP system. CP is the worst endgame progression system I've seen in a MMO and in my opinion fails at everything an endgame progression system is supposed to do/offer. I don't think locking a flashy mount behind it would make it any better either.
Reached CP 3000 this MYM. Could have reached 3600 a long time ago, but it would feel like a waste to go there. Still have like 200+ exp scrolls from the daily login rewards stored.
ZOS needs to update/expand the CP system. It needs to be endless, and with endless I mean hundreds of thousands of CP's should be possible without ever reaching the limit! Was really expecting something like this for the 10th anniversary.
The CP-system is one of the main reasons for players to do anything in the game(even if only to show their high CP number), it feels like an oversight to not increase the maximum CPs by a lot.
PS: The only time I open the CP screen is when I am making a new build or have to make adjustments. Before MYM I hadn't opened the CP system in weeks.
Unlocking the various options in the champion system is supposed to be the reward for gaining the points. Problem is that's completely meaningless once you get all the passives and 4 active skills in each tree.
I guess it's still marginally better than not being able to use extra championship points at all after 1800, the way it was in the previous iteration...

For a DD, there is no point in leveling your character above 1200-1500 CP. You will simply get more options to choose from at the same time, but you will almost never use them, especially for the green and red trees of the CP system.
On my main I'm somewhere around 2200-2300, which is honestly more than enough to grab all useful passives and the active skills you need for the game.
I'm not actually sure what I would do with 3600 CP.

I'm at 2779 and I'm definitely shooting for 3600! I will definitely keep going after that!
What does happen after that? I know the old CP had a cap but you earned CP anyway which ultimately applied to the CP2.0
Still waiting for CP2.1, or whatever, like promised. I think we could use some more passives. Currently I have 2200 or so but I haven’t even spent all the points. I earn about one a day but don’t really pay attention.
@moo_2021
Nothing. The most you'll get is the ability to unlock everything and won't have to spend gold to move points around into different slotted passives when you need them. Woo~ such progression.
2690 and, by my calculations, if I keep playing as much as I do nowadays, it should take me over 2 years to get there. Knowing my luck, I fully expect the cap to be raised again when I'm in the final 100 points.

I don't think reaching 3600cp necessarily means you've been playing a really long time. I've played since Beta and I'm only low 2000s. Reaching 3600 is probably more of an indicater of how much time you spend grinding vs just enjoying the content.

Yes, there should be something, I'm not even halfway there but I came back in August 23 and have earned about 500 CP by then, so it will be a few years until I get it. I sometimes see people with 3600 but not very often, even at 1500 I am often the highest in a dungeon, It would be great to get something at different levels, e.g. 1000, 2000, 3000 and 3600, even if it's just a title.

I'm almost to 1900... but don't see a reason to worry about CP when there really is no necessity for it. Thanks to armories, and the Jack of All Trades addon, I don't need to manually switch slottables and I can switch armories if I have a build that needs different CP.
I hit 3600 mid 2023. It wasn’t initially a goal it was a result of doing many many many master writs. As I got close it was a nice target but there isn’t any real benefit as has been noted.
One of the outcomes of having 3600 is some unwanted attention and criticism. I’ve received comments about being a sweaty tryhard. Criticism of my gameplay (you’ve got 3600 why can’t you solo vHM LOM?). Other dumb stuff. A lot of duel requests. I take it in stride and mostly laugh.
I play a lot more in offline mode now tho to avoid some of it.
Biggest benefit of 3600 is not needing to apply CP all the time. Otherwise it’s mostly just a number.
No real reason to burn resources on maxing out CP. I could however use another 50-100 points though.
I do like how simple they made this cp system yet I wonder if they could not have added more powerful perks to help with gaps in builds and give us more reason to max out cp.
