    Its even crazier considering @ZOS_Kevin commented on a post about devs not readimg feedback. I dont think they know what to do with this class

    Well they did mention some communication changes coming with U42 and I recently figured out a position for on their combat team opened up. It sounds like they may be having a bigger focus on combat adjustments and maintenance in the future, most likely because they will need to keep up with the growing pains of releasing something as complicated as Scribing and the growth that can have on the future of the game as more skills release.

    Something about GSL always felt off from day 1, as if it was missing a bunch of other changes to go with it, so I hope thats the case. For now, dead skill.

    They can't just completely redesign what is probably the most used skill from the class(Necro in this case) and expect people to wait months/years for the ''phase 2'' of the changes that will hopefully address the issues introduced with the first change.

    For example, the issues related to ranged corpse generation were pointed out on the FIRST DAY of the PTS, how is it possible that when they designed the first iteration of Grave Lord's Sacrifice no one in the Combat Team noticed this? How did they miss that Blastbones was the ONLY(I guess the Living Death ult also counts) way a Necro can generate corpses from range? The skill has been mostly untouched since like 2019 so it's not like it had many changes during this time.

    The fact that things like this can even get pushed in the PTS and, I assume, get greenlit by the Lead Combat Dev(Wheeler) is insane.

    Oh yeah i bet its not easy rolling out something that'll change the entire landscape of combat. Maybe they'll focus more on necro after scribing is released. It is assuring to see them say they'll monitor the skill through the year. I liked the idea if necros toolkit, and it just doesn't. The whole direction of the class is odd. They want it to be DoT focused but the toolkit is not set up for that. Even with GLS and the rapid rot passive, necro will still underperform. And the corpse mechanic? Tgat doesn't support the DoT direction. After some extensive time playing necro, it seems to me they designed this class to do well on a parse dummy and with an elementalist class in mind. I might be in the minority, but i think pushing this class as a burst combo class and a summoning class tied in with the corpses, it would be easier to tweak and perform better.
