List of things I would like to see next patch (PvP)

Just some random list of things I think would be good for the overall state of PvP
  • Undeath nerf cut it to 15% max
  • health recovery buff (not to levels anywhere near before but enough so that it competes with undeath to a lesser extent). I'm tired of being forced to be a vamp on all classes for pvp. Would also help against dks.
  • new mist form being a ground target aoe does NOT feel good.
  • Buff to some older pure stat sets like 7th legion, and furry. They are pretty heavily outclassed by all the new proc sets. Could really use some strong stat sets so that we don't feel like we are just playing mdw+vate ice on everything.
  • Health, stam, mag potions available in the cyro vender.
  • rework of vamp ult. A lot of us don't like the whole transforming into a huge vamp. Give us something similar to old bats.
  • Make necro good. (Needs a kit rework). Honestly just give it major berserk on bb why not. Also, their boneyard synergy skill did not need to be nerfed after harmony was already nerfed. It was a double whammy.
  • the necro scythe is actually an incredible smooth ability. Turn one into a spammable with a decent tooltip. Just change the secondary effects.
  • How about some tempers or equivalent for every X number of killing blows.
  • Group dueling would be amazing. People could use their custom houses for arenas.

    These are just some of the immediate things that come to mind but there are plenty. Feel free to comment on your own ideas in the comments.
    Feel free to comment of how the status effects feel on pts. On live they feel a bit over tuned, but I haven't really had time to test on pts

    • That would remove any incentive to run vampire at all given that it's already in a terrible position, thus something else would need to be buffed up to avoid total vampire extinction
    • Or just reduce the battle spirit effect on it from -50% to -30% as outright buffing HP rec would be mad on the pve side of things
    • That's just an opinion, personally I quite like how it feels and plays
    • Again, neat idea, but then we'd just return to the old days where everybody and their grandma ran 7th legion, also, again would be mad on the PvE side of things, an alternative would be to make proc effects say... ~20% weaker when the user is under the effect of battle spirit

    • They should see about making both morphs actually useful rather than the one moprh wonder we currently have before completely reworking everything
    • Sure, as long as they also un[CENSORED] stamplar too
    • You want the HP% healing spamable attack to hit...HARDER?....are you trying to make necros unstoppable monsters..again?
    • Or they could add a crafting daily writ setup in cyro at one of the home bases, that way you'll get a slow but steady flow of tempers by taking 20 seconds out of your day to do said writs, and it wouldn't make the likes of bombers run around with 5,000 tempers after spending half an evening doing their thing

    They need to throw in Detection potions into PVP as well, it makes no sense how there are invisibility potions provided to siege merchants but not the obvious counter to that. (detection)

    I bolded the points I agree with.

    Undeath is too strong. People can literally stop taking damage at low health. 30% from undeath and 50% from blocking (80%), plus a proc set that heals them while they Should be dying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love the Necro scythe but to be completely real I'm handicapping myself by using it when I could be using better 2h weapon skills. At least make Hungry Scythe apply life steal to targets and maybe even give it execute scaling on both morphs. Necro doesn't have an execute. This would make it similar to Steel Tornado. And it fits with the scythe being a tool used to harvest. Power fantasy ZOS. Remember that?

    Old stat based sets like Julianos need to brought up to compete with proc sets. Procs are carrying too hard and using stat sets put players at a disadvantage.

    Now, last but not least.... BUFF REDGUARDS!
    - Give Redguards reduced cost to ALL stamina abilities.
    - Give them stamina return for dealing damage AND taking damage.
    - Give them increased effectiveness with weapon traits.

    What PvP are you playing?
    Basically everything except for some DKs is currently a vampire because it offers so much with barely any drawbacks.

    No one asked for 7th legion to become OP, just generally buffing older sets to be brought up to the level of sets that are currently strong. That would just lead to more options for your build, not make any one thing OP.

    Also i really doubt that buffing old sets like 7th or Fury a bit would have a serious impact on PvE since none of those sets are anywhere near meta there.

    Let me be a bit more clear.

    Vamp is not in a bad position right now. everyone is a vamp in pvp.

    yes, I want stat sets to be buffed. I didn't say to nerf all proc sets. People who like proc sets can keep running them. I just want the class I'm playing to feel like I'm playing that class and not a weapon skill as a class.

    I said to make one morph of scythe a spammable and to CHANGE the secondary effects. Ofc, I don't want it to also heal crazy amounts.

    Learn to play without undeath mitigating 30%.

    It will benefit the game.

    It's actually absurd that undeath has been as strong for as long as it has with health recovery being in the state that it currently is in PvP. There's little incentive for not being a vampire, and its usually only chosen for that single passive.

    Health recovery was nerfed after they buffed existing sources and later on introducing more sources of it, before eventually making it a lot worse now than it was before the buffs began. It was eventually sledgehammer nerfed, because of a few setups (ab)using health recovery as it was providing too much passive survivability.

    Meanwhile, unlike health recovery, undeath still isn't being adjusted, even though it has been providing significant passive mitigation for years, and is a major contributor to "stalemates" especially when group healing is involved. Its also a major contributor to "tanks with damage." Players can use mostly offensive sets and yet feel "tanky" because undeath acts as a nearly free, extra 5pc pariah set.

    I'd also like for older stat sets to be buffed and made more relevant; because many of them are heavily outclassed by Rallying Cry. That set really needs to have more diminishing returns for groups, and they should do the same for most group buff sets as well. SSC is also another problem for devaluing weapon damage sets.

    Nobody disagrees but note both Vamp Spammable and Vamp Ult would do more damage if Undeath were nerfed

    Let me play against those who suck as much as I do. I might do more PvP if that was the case.

    Being a gank target may please many gankers, but it makes it miserable for me.

    Undeath 100% needs adjustment when vampire is essentially a must have just for this one passive you know we have a issue it also adds a incentive to stack more health to gain more benefit from having a larger pool of health at low health percentages

    Nerfing of Undeath passive is at the very top of my list for sure, yes yes yes. And to buff alot of the underwhelming stat sets such as 7th legion and hundings rage etc is also much needed imo. Remove the wep dmg boost for being level 50 also.

    • Disable crosshealing outside of group.
    • Healing from same-morph abilities made unique and unable to be stacked.
    • Make status effects unique and unable to be stacked on players.
    • Adjustments to Undeath while buffing HP Recov, like Alch said.
    • Complete Necromancer rework. That class seriously needs help.
    • Revert jabs animation.
    • Major Evasion to 10% and Minor Evasion to 5% to standardize it with other buffs/debuffs.
    • Nightblade nerfs. They don't need % based damage buffs, really.
    • Make abilities like entropy unable to bring Nightblades out of cloak. Too many things break stealth currently.
    • Get rid of cast times on ultimates. Bring back burst meta; current meta is one of the worst in the game's history.
    • Corrosive becomes offensive penetration, no defensive utility; Magma is defensive, no offensive utility.
    • Nerf Ele Susc; give it a cost. Does too much for free atm.
    • Revert hybridization.
    • Remove Minor Resolve from Resolving Vigor, un-nerf Rapid Regen and Radiating Regen to promote diversity.

    Need to increase the pop cap to at least 120/faction. It's clear down to about 60/faction now, which is way too low a population to be healthy. 120/faction would still be too low.

    Points I disagree with:
    • Health cap is stupid and antithetical to the build crafting system. One shot based PvP is cringe.
    • non stacking status effects will absolutely trash any form of status related build outside of 1v1
    • nerfing evasion down to protection levels is not appropriate giving its much more situational value
    • hybridization doesn't need to be reverted, it just needs to be cleaned up
    • cloak counters are fine
    • cast times on ultimates are fine

    Agreeing with:
    • Vigor nerf
    • Ele sus nerf
    • Undeath nerf
    • Jabs change
    • changes to heal stacking from stickies

    Undecided about:
    • Necro changes
    • further Corrosive changes
    • Cross-healing outside of groups
    ZoS hire them.

    Some things I would like to see:

    Sets like Strength of the Automaton, War Maiden, Sword-Singer etc. Give a % buff instead of weapon dmg but gives a % debuff in the opposite.

    Example. Strength of the Automaton: "Increases the effectiveness of your Physical damaging abilities by 20% but reduce your Magic damage by 20%. This would make these sets stand out in some sort of way rather than just adding weapon & spell. Includes a drawback, so it focuses on purely trying to use physical damaging abilities. If you wanted to buff all other damage types then you have clever alchemist for example. Sword-singer could look like: "Increases the effectiveness of your 2h abilities by x% but reduces the effectiveness of your dual wield abilities by y%.

    Remove Combat Medic, instantly fixes all the outrageous healing you can get when you are near a keep / resource. Such an overtuned passive.

    Some of the changes that Alchemiste and Cloudrest would be nice as well.

    Would love to see groups capped at 4 in IC, and cross-healing completely gone, or drastically reduced when healing players outside of your group.

    This would make it so if anyone wants to heal large groups, they would need to build so heavily into it that they couldn’t be a tank.

    And I would say good riddance. The tank meta is stale AF. Seeing as how we have been in a tank meta since One Tamriel with maybe the exception of the patch DoTs were really good. Vamp being relegated to RP would put it on par with werewolf.
