Kight Errant Set

I would like to see this set undergo some changes in the future to open the S/B offensive playstyle with non-S/B skills.

Knight Errants
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(5 items) Adds 450 Weapon and Spell Damage to your One Hand and Shield abilities. When you use a One Hand and Shield ability, you heal for 1537 Health.

Change the (5 items) to:
Add 450 Weapon and Spell Damage while One Hand and Shield is equipped. When you use a One Hand and Shield ability, you heal for 1537.

A simple change on the 5pc set where the 450 W/D is gained when S/B is equipped than adding it only to S/B skills.

But then people will get a constant offensive buff 1.5x Hunding, while having a defensive weapon equipped. Why in the world would you give a defensive weapon the best offensive set bonus in the game? It will instantly be best in slot because your class and guild skills will do tons of damage while you have all kinds of defensive passives and block mitigation, etc. The game has enough problems as it is with super tanky builds that deal tons of damage. Let's not exacerbate that even more.

Look at the other set bonuses, and you'll see we are not at 1.5 Hundings, but rather at 0.9 Hundings (factoring crit, and using s&b only - same passives). On top of that, the set is locked on Heavy type, while you may craft Hundings in any weight. Such change wouldn't exacerbate anything.

no please. this would increase healing potential while you are on your s&b bar.
    that is already too big.

Damage Done then instead of WD.

I believe more backbarrable Heavy sets with offensive buffs would lessen the tank meta. One clear example - Kynmarcher's and Daedric Trickery - an Offensive and Defensive version of the same idea. Kynmarcher's only procs off Direct Damage. Daedric Trickery procs off either DoTs or Direct - so it's much more backbarrable than Kynmarcher's.

Off the top of my head maybe the only two backbarrable Heavy sets with an offensive effect are 7th Legion (ruined by the cool down iirc) and Affliction (ruined by an underwhelming Status Effect and abysmally pathetically scaled proc damage - but maybe a better set next patch).

OP's idea is for a better frontbarrable SnB set, but Damage Done could accomplish that and what I describe (i.e. giving you better Damage on frontbarred DoTs while on your backbar).

As I've rambled about so much over the years, the idea "Heavy and SnB are only for defense" is:

    A. Incongruent with TES History
    B. Incongruent with early ESO ideas
    C. Exacebatory to the Tank Meta - TTK was lower during the years-long 7th and Fury meta, because they weren't wearing a defensive 5 piece

Again, Momentum equals Velocity times Mass. Impertinent to the physics of Nirn? No - why else would Orc have a Damage Done bonus? edit: whoops it's a WD bonus now - maybe it should be changed back to Damage Done for this reason of WD scaled Heals.

Edit 2: I forgot in this post that nowadays Fury provides much more Healing power on account of hybridization then it did during its heyday. So too does the WD SnB passive.

Change them all to Damage Done maybe - loss of potential DoT strength (I always used to like to backbar Venomous Claw with a Nirn 1h and Sharpened 2h front) - but substantially reduced turtle healing which as RetPing says, is much too strong.

How about adding x amount of weapons spell damage to damage dealing abilities while having OH&S equipped?
