Developer Comment:

For awhile now the Necromancer class has somewhat fallen behind other classes, mainly due to missing some key tools in their kit. It's finally time to throw them a bone (pun intended!) so they can once more be the masters of undeath on the battlefield. Based on much of the feedback we've seen, we're targeting the biggest pain points of the class kit first, namely the lack of a reliable class stun, execute and source of Major Brutality/Major Sorcery, among other things.


Necromancer
  • Bone Tyrant
    • Death Scythe
      • Ruinous Scythe (morph):
        • This morph now does up to 100% more damage to targets below 50% Health.
    • Bone Totem
      • Remote Totem (morph):
        • Renamed this morph to Piercing Shriek.
        • This morph no longer produces a totem on the ground. Instead, it instantly fears enemies in a 6 meter radius around the caster.
        • This morph no longer grants Minor Protection to you and your allies.
        • This morph now applies Minor Breach to affected enemies, reducing their Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 6 seconds.
  • Grave Lord
    • Flame Skull: Fixed an issue where in certain situations, this ability would get stuck at 3 stacks but would only cast the weaker, basic version of the skull until player death or rezoning.
      • Ricochet Skull (morph):
        • This morph now deals 10% increased damage at all times and deals an additional 10% damage for 15 seconds after casting a corpse producing ability in addition to its existing 50% damage increase on every 3rd cast.
        • This morph is no longer dodgeable.
    • Skeletal Mage: This ability and its morphs now provide Major Brutality and Major Sorcery for 20 seconds.

Nightblade
  • Assassination
    • Grim Focus: Reworked this ability and the Merciless Resolve morph.
      • Renamed this ability to Assassin's Sacrifice.
      • This ability and the Merciless Reslove morph (which has also been renamed) upon activation now infuse the player with shadowy power for 10 seconds, increasing your damage done with Assassination and Direct Damage effects by 15%.
        • Merciless Resolve (morph):
          • Renamed this morph to Merciless Sacrifice.
          • This morph extends the duration of the bonus to 20 seconds, increases the damage done effect to 20%, and allows your next Health consuming ability to be cast at no cost, while the effect is active.
        • Relentless Focus (morph):
          • This morph’s overall functionality remains the same, to retain a way for the original play style of the skill to be kept.
          • Reduced the base cost of this morph to 1015, down from 1377, so it is easier for non-Stamina focused builds to sustain.

    You know if you gave the self buff to Necromancers you would make gankers even worse, they could kill players with just their ultimate, no need to combo it.

    OP should add a Templar section of these otherworld patch notes where Plar gets a nerf lol.

    Jokes aside, I thought about adding something in there for 'em, but I admit, I have very little time on plar, so I wasn't feeling confident about what to add. I do hope they give you guys at least something in the coming weeks though!

    You know if you gave the self buff to Necromancers you would make gankers even worse, they could kill players with just their ultimate, no need to combo it.

    You know, I wrote that Nightblade section and I thought just that to myself - this was meant as a joke, targeting a class' best skill out of the blue etc., but in reality even with that change they'd probably still be in fine shape in PvP.

    I personally would’ve nerfed beam. Very much a zos power move to assert dominance on the fragile Templar community

    Correction or OP:

    Skeletal Mage: This ability and its morphs now provide Major Brutality and Major Sorcery while slotted on either bar

    Bone Totem: This morph no longer produces a totem on the ground. Instead, it instantly fears enemies in a 6 meter radius around the caster. This stun is unable to be blocked or dodged.
