They announced there would be unlockable skill skins with the chapter to change colours of vfx, like purple wall of elements, 22 of them.

In a behind closed doors preview of the chapter with content creators, they specifically mentioned how this new Skill Style system could be expanded on in the future to potentially reskin pets.

So not a guarantee, but it could come down the line.

Ahh they tease us..... at least Christmas always finally comes.
