There are currently several problems with this skill that makes it extremely annoying to use:

1) Minor Berserk, Minor Force, and the stam sustain over time only last 10 seconds. Combined with Sorc's tedious burst lineup, the short 10s duration of Dark Deal's offensive buff makes it really annoying to manage.

2) The skill is EXTREMELY buggy when interrupted. When I get interrupted from range, the skill sometimes puts me in a 1s stun lock where I cannot break free or cast anything until the interrupt animation finishes. In worst scenario, my character even slides towards the original location where I was interrupted while casting Dark Deal, while unable to break free or do anything.

Please consider increasing the duration of Minor Berserk and Minor Force to 15-20 seconds, and fix the interrupt bug.

    Can't say much about 1 because I haven't used that morph in a long time but 2 has gotten me killed several times!

    I can't use the skill at all because that lag it causes ruins my bar swaps and/or it gets interrupted which is stupid.

    I always laugh a bit at the joke of it all when someone is fighting me and knows to bash spam when I try to heal or go into a buff rotation.

    It's funny because I think most people only know to bash a sorc because it's so telegraphed and predictable. Then of course there's crushing shock being on a lot of bars.

    10 second buff is really annoying, I don't see any reason for 10 second main buffs to exist in the game.

    Also I would like to ask ZOS, what are the reasons why some buffs have a duration of 20 seconds, while others have 30? The answer should be logical - a stronger buff has a shorter duration.

    But then how is Cruxweaver Armor possible that it lasts 30 seconds?

    Additionally, the most ironic thing is that Minor Force provides Increases critical damage done by 10%. "But"Sorc cannot obtain Major Prophecy/Savagery from classes skill. Giving Minor Force in Dark Deal is simply a vicious mockery.

    I recommend:
    Dark Deal & Dark Conversion should both be given to Major Prophecy/Savagery, and Minor Force for 30 seconds. The only difference between them is restore Magicka or Stamina.
    Make BUFF more consistent and provide stronger relevance.

    If we compare similar skills, we can see:
    Blue Betty: Call a betty netch to your side, which restores 4416 Magicka to you over [22 / 23 / 24 / 25] seconds and grants you Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%. Every 5 seconds, the netch removes 1 negative effect from you.
    Bull Netch: Call a bull netch to your side, which restores 4416 Stamina to you over [22 / 23 / 24 / 25] seconds and grants you Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%. Every 5 seconds, the netch removes 1 negative effect from you.

    Netch has the same effects: duration is 25 seconds, restores Magicka or Stamina, provides Major Brutality and Sorcery, removes 1 negative effect.

    In comparison, Netch lasts longer than Dark Deal & Dark Conversion (10:25, almost 3 times the difference), provides 3 effects, and does not require "cast time", which makes Dark Deal & Dark Conversion look old and useless.

    That is imo just because its the nnewer class and these are always shiny to sell the chapter. I bet it will get adjusted sooner or later. All class major resolve skills have to be 20 sec for equality.

    I remember when this skill caused your Sorcerer to float up in the air and it was a toggle, really wish it went back to that.

    I agree, it was reckless to compare with an arcanist. But in my opinion, Summoner's Armor is still the worst armor skill among all class skills.

    Call me a casual player, but I am a fan of most main buffs in the game lasting 30 seconds, even if the cost of the buffs is increased. Increasing the duration of the main buffs has almost no effect on skilled players, but it makes it easy to maintain buffs for non-skilled players; we raise the floor without raising the ceiling.

    agreed. dark conversion is really good and really useful.
    dark deal is not. the extra cast (of a cast time skill too) makes it not worth the buffs it gives you

    Inb4 "but 4k health cost would kill me" from the NBs using Siphoning Strikes.

    First, the only reason you casted DD in the first place was for the burst heal, you had half your stamina and lost like 5k from break free, in this same moment you wouldn't be casting Siphoning Strikes. You'd top up your health, then cast SS to get your resources back or go to location that was safe before attempting to do so.

    Secondly, the 4k health cost is actually about 3k given the fact that you receive 100% uptime on 1250 HP a second for applying a few dots to anything due to the stupid long duration of 20-30s all dots are now. No RNG required, no buff management required, just passive all the time, press it when you actually need resources (given you're safe to lose 3k hp).

    Or hey, use the other morph and cast it for free sometimes :D

    Exactly, NB already has a potent burst heal that can crit for 16-17k. In that exact situation, I would cast the burst heal first, then cast Dark Deal afterwards to restore my stam.

    If we were to use the newest PTS changes for Sorc and apply that to this scenario, I would first cast Encase/Hardened Ward to get a decent burst heal, THEN cast Dark Deal. I would still be interrupted, but I wouldn't die from the situation.

    It's easy for NB mains to think it's a nerf to their ability but when compared to Dark Deal it's miles better, and in reality, Siphoning Strike change is a BUFF.

    I wish it was only 2 seconds, it's always been a 3 second stun lock for me (I assume it's worse because of ping/delay).

    The hard lock on the skill when interrupted is a completely insane downside as well, it's bad enough that getting interrupted stun locks you (cannot break free), but to ALSO hard lock the skill preventing from even attempting to cast it again on top of this is just downright insulting.
