Daedric Princes have no gender, they're more or less formless and can swap their appearance anytime. Some appear male most of the time, some female, some change their appearance regularly or look in a way that that makes it hard to define anyway (or could you tell by appearance if a bunch of eyes and tentacles is male or female?).

This. Also, Prince, like Actor, is a gender neutral term.
And I'm really glad they use it properly in TES. "Actress" always bothers me a bit. You don't say "Doctress".

Modern English used to use more gendered terms several decades ago (and even more centuries ago) including the still used Prince and Princess. German, English's sister language, still uses this gendered dichotomy for most nouns like this King/Queen König/Königin Prince/Princess Prinz/Prinzessin and in Russian gendered nouns are also prevalent when I studied it.

Regarding the US example it used to be common in the US in the early part of the last century to say murderer and murderess depending on the sex of the offender and you can still see this in English literature. Over the past few decades the masculine form of the word has become the default for most of those gendered terms and now it's far more common to say murderer and actor for both sexes although actress still is still commonly used.

But back on topic, in the Elder Scrolls Universe lore, as the person you quoted stated the title "Prince" is the correct term regardless of the Daedric Prince's sex. Even Finn made a Twitter post about this.

The only reason to feel uncomfortable with a female title is if one is uncomfortable with females. Actress should be a prideful thing. It should be mighty to be an actress. As it should be for princess. Or sorceress. As it is with Queen.

    As Charlotte said....
"Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots. 'Cause it's OK to be a boy. But for a boy to look like a girl is degrading. 'Cause you think that being a girl is degrading."

There should be daedric princesses because it should be frickin dark and powerful and awesome, to be a princess. But people only think dresses and being beautiful and marrying a prince. So theres only deadric princes.

(considering they can't ever be permanently destroyed and will reform from Azure Plasm when killed that seems likely)

Tiny nitpick here - from chaotic creatia. For daedras originating from coldharbor, chaotic creatia takes for of azure plasm, but exact form of chaotic creatia differs between oblivion planes.

It's not a gender thing in tes still, it's a "title" of a force that manifests themselves however they please, as they're as sex-less and gender-less as force can be.

To be honest: I personally don't care at all what word to use, so if a woman wants to be called actress, I'll call her actress, if another one prefers to call herself teacher instead of teacheress (which is, as I said, a normal form in my country), then I'll call her teacher. Instead of rigid rules of whatever kind, I think the most important thing is that the person who's addressed by it feels comfortable with it.

That said, the only thing I'm wondering about is, why it's so important to emphasize gender. At all. If it was up to me: Trash gender roles alltogether. Let people call themselves how they want, let them do what they want (as long as they do no harm) - no matter if they behave "traditionally" or completely against what is considered "normal" today. Guys wearing frilly skirts, women with moustaches who drive tractors - I don't care, if it makes them happy! Why would I be bothered by individual life choices (honestly, I have more important things to do)? And exactly because of that I'm wondering if it's not even counterproductive to emphasize gender more and more, to divide the genders more and more, to make it looks like it were completely different spheres. At least that's happening where I live.
