When is the announcement for the next chapter?

The preview livestream for last year took place on January 27, so I'd expect sometime in late January for this year's stream. This is purely speculative, however — we just have to wait for an announcement to be made.

Only a few streamers and youtubers so far know and they are under NDA at this time. I think someone did show off the new coin they got last month.

If it goes as usual the announcement for the date for the reveal livestream coming at the end of this month will be this week.

There are murmurings of an Xbox Developer Direct happening mid January. Not sure if ESO will tie their announcement in with that again this year?

I hope not, hated having to sit through a load of unrelated rubbish to get to it last year. Especially as a playstation player.

Also made it much shorter and less informative that other years so there's that too!

If really didn't make it shorter or less informative. They had their reveal during the Direct, then the usual detailed look livestream immediately following the show. If anything that made it longer in total

From last year's press release: "The Elder Scrolls Online: Studio Director Matt Firor will unveil 2023’s major Chapter update, including the latest regions of Tamriel to become playable in ESO, as well as a major new feature coming in the game’s biggest update this year. The Developer_Direct will be immediately followed by the full, standalone ESO Chapter Reveal Event, hosted by Zenimax Online Studios, which will provide all the in-depth details ESO players will be keen to know."

You can always just tune in at the end of the Direct if they follow the same pattern, if being a PlayStation player makes watching an Xbox Direct frustrating for you, for whatever reason. Just remember that ZOS is an Xbox company now, so there is a good chance it's all tied together again. Focus on the cool games, not the parent company behind them

Previous years it's been a 30m+ standalone reveal stream with an hour long after show. Tho part of the reason it was shorter last year was there really wasn't much to reveal!

Focus on the cool games, not the parent company behind them

Don't want to be argumentative but what's the point of getting interested in games you'll never play? ZOS might be Microsoft now but ESO isn't. I get why it's lumped in with everything else now but that doesn't make it less irritating for those of us outside the ecosystem

I just received a letter and artifact from Zenimax that hints to the new chapter. But I am unsure if I am under NDA or not. There isn't anything mentioned about it in the package, nor have I received any e-mails about it. But to be safe, I am not going to share it just yet.

Omg did I just wake up on this the glorious day of Mondas and learn that we are finally getting some bosmer content. *heavy breathing* oh man oh man FINALLY we might even get a bosmer house along with the chapter at some point *faints*

I've been playing since beta. This is like the biggest news of my decade with elder scrolls.

Noooo, lol, I want to see the reveal now, see where we are going and new companions, and hear some of their voice lines so I can start imagining my future adventures!
