Look to the past to predict the future. Continually declining population caps with less and less focus on Cyrodiil.

If past is prologue ZOS will not comment on, well, anything to speak of.

you don't even have to put in a lot of work to make cyrodiil more attractive, it just needs more merchants where you can buy existing pve / housing items and all sets with ap. the work required for this should be minimal

Unfortunately that message had more ambiguity and empty content than the vastness of space.
A time where you can afford goose-down (fluff)-type letters is when a game is new; you'll have tons of gamers just dropping in to see it anyway.

In a time where you're hitting the 10 year mark you should be sending out love letters, instead of goose-down. That is to say, 90% of the effort these days should be focussed on retention - and that letter released absolutely missed the mark, and my personal opinion;.. there wasn't a lot of time spent aiming before sending it down range.

Which leads us back to this thread. Here's a great opportunity ZOS, beginning of the year - to share with the PVP community any plans that might stoke the embers for those who've remained loyal and dedicated members of your player base over the years.

I recall comments from DEVs stating that no new pvp content could/would be added without the servers being fixed or at least performing better.......... well....now it's the time.

don't get me wrong, I am not expecting Cyro/PvP 2.0 but at least something new!

More servers so they can bring the population back up to, at the very least, over 125/faction is all that's needed. To date though, they've only ever lowered the pop cap. They've never once increased the pop cap. A pop cap of 125/faction would be a 1/3 increase in the cap from where it is now. Shouldn't be too much to ask.

You are looking at one right now. A blank page. I don't even think they have vision for PvE as well given how they focus more on Crown Store stuffs than anything. Meanwhile, some of the most annoying bugs that plague PvE also get left in.

Don't hold your breath. I stopped holding mine and canceled my subscription until I can actually participate in PVP instead of sitting in ques for hours and then getting booted from the ques to rewait because they cannot provide enough support for the player base that clearly wants PVP.

When I see a vision for PVP I will resub, until then I will speak with my wallet as should all of us. Maybe then they would actually get the picture.

I spoke with mine years ago. Not surprised to see that nothing has changed.

I don’t think this approach will work. If they offered all gear in PvP purchasable with alliance points, the queues to get into Cyrodil would be 5 hours long.

You might never resub because I don't think they have a vision beyond keeping whales happy.

You might never resub because I don't think they have a vision beyond keeping whales happy.

Unsubbed when U35 dropped with zero attention to the PTS comments and never looked back. In fact, I realized how little I was getting out of ESO+ in the first place. And it makes it far easier to not get upset when ZOS does things, or doesn't do things that most companies would do.

Since we continue to have zero answer here MY vision for future PvP is to join T&L as soon as Amazon drop it in the west.
I don't care if it will be some P2W, I just want to play some nice PvP.

I' m ready to change my mind if ZoS will change it's attitude towards PvP.

They just further reduced the population cap in cyrodiil to 60/faction it looks like. The future for Cyrodiil PvP looks exceptionally bleak. It's no wonder ZOS won't speak to the issue publicly.

Server upgrades should absolutely be the main focus before anything else. PC seems to have reliable servers with hardly any issue but console servers are just atrocious, even on current gen consoles, people are still getting smacked with lag, glitching and getting kicked altogether

Console is undoubtedly worse, but calling the PC servers "reliable with hardly any issues" is a travesty. It becomes unplayable laggy as soon as there are a couple ball groups online every night, and people get kicked + locked out of the game when approaching large fights constantly. Just happened to me earlier today, couldn't get back in for 30+ minutes.
