Rededication Shrine: How to respec skills and attributes

For a hefty lump sum payment you can redo your skill points and/or attribute points by visiting a Rededication Shrine.
The cost is 100g per point and it's an all or nothing exchange, meaning if you have 23 attribute points and you reset your attributes it will cost you 2,300 gold. If you have 118 skill points it will cost you 11,800 gold.

Rededication shrines are found in the following locations:

Aldmeri Dominion: Grahtwood just east of the wayshrine in Elden Root


Daggerfall Covenant: Stormhaven on the west side of town in Wayrest.


Ebonheart Pact: Deshaan at the city center of Mournhold (go through the doors on the right)




*Note* haven't seen any in Cyrodiil if anyone finds otherwise please let me know.

Cool - this needs to not be an all or nothing situation however.

If you want to respec 1 point you have to pay 2000 just the same if you wanted to respec all 20 of your points. thats pretty lame.

And what about the experience we have in our skill trees? Is it reset to level 1? Does the experience come back if you put back the skill point?

Thanks for this. As of my reading this, I never knew where to go to respec (I never googled it either). I've asked in general chat quite a few times, but usually never get a response. It seems like Respec Shrines, and slash commands for sending someone a Whisper/Tell seem to be the most elusive information in the game, lol.

There must be a minimum level that this works at, I have a level 5 who I wanted to abandon Enchanting on but the Acolyte in Auridon doesn't offer me this service.

@KerinKor There's no place in Auridon where you can respec. You have to go to Elden Root in Grahtwood to respec and you have to find the respec shrine. Look at the picture at the top under AD.

don't respec at low levels. Just go get more skill points. They come fast.

If I respec, do I need to use all of the points then? I want to level up Resto Staff but it's only at lvl 3 with no abilities. Can you re spec and save the unused points to spend later?

Of course. You can respec and literally not use a single point if you wanted.

You have to complete all the harborage main story line stuff. You'll end up being to the next area around level 47-50

How come these shrines are cheap sometimes and other times they cost more with the same charator depending on what day your playing?

Sometimes after ZOS have made some changes to the skill tree, they reduce the cost of respeccing for a bit. The cost reduction depends on the scale of the changes to the skill tree.

I'm willing to necropost here 3 years later because the original post is actually wrong. It doesn't cost 100gold per point, it costs 100 gold times your highest statistic. I had my points evenly split between health and magicka and with a total of 48 points, it only cost me 2400 gold to respec.

Thanks SeanBlader. I haven't checked since coming back to the game. Must have been rebalanced during one of the many updates. Will update after testing.
