How would YOU improve infinite archive over the years ahead?

Yo yo, I wanted to ask yall a quick question here: how would you improve the infinite archive? I’m completely addicted and have been since its launch on PC - BUT - we know to keep things fresh, things need to be added over time!

What rewards do you want to see in the future?

I would like them to add a Boss Rush mode. It could be a different type of mode with no trash waves in between, no extra hidden paths, no Tho'at and different rewards. Instead of trash and tho'at, you'd continuously fight from a selection of random regular bosses.

I think the appearance of regular bosses and bosses from the overworld is what makes IA the most appealing, because their normal fights during actual quests are very easy. IA gives them the possibility to be slightly threatening and fun to fight. Tho'at IMO kinda sucks due to the massive difficulty spikes and the staleness of fighting her over and over.

Mindless grind, so once you have whatever gear/achievements you want, you never do it again, unless forced to by endeavors.

But if I was going to "improve" EA/IA, I would allow the selection of a vision with the daily quest before you start. That way you can drop it and start over if the vision is garbage. The visions are completely unbalanced and if the RNG does not go your way, there is no point in wasting more time.

Also add damage trifecta visions for all of the damage types. There are ones for frost, bleed, physical, fire....but zero for lightning, poison, disease, magic.

I would definitely like a different environment (and trash mobs), after these few months it's so boring just seeing the same scenery - even if it's visually great.

I'd definitely add more bosses and more varied trashpacks as well as additional side content, interesting visions and verses (for example strong buffs which come with a significant tradeoff as well) and maybe more varied backgrounds/arenas.

Regarding rewards I want to see additional (somewhat useful) class sets and maybe an exclusive house.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I want a battle/arena pass of sorts, something I can login each day and progress myself along a path unlocking rewards... kind of like the Fallout 76 Season Pass but add things like motifs, plans, materials etc

As a change maybe one cycle have less powerful trash mods. Instead have massive amounts of trash several hundred crabs. But easy kills individually. It seems fun to heard them up and boom.if your not overwhelmed by numbers.

While we're at it, it would be nice if there was a better way to curate the set drops. Arc 1 drops armor. Arc 2 drops weapons. Marauders may drop armor, but I only recall getting weapon drops. I've completed my sticker book for all weapons, so now I'm only getting curated drops on Arc 1 and Arc 3, which basically means that it make more sense to farm the most boring Arc to complete the sticker book for armor pieces. Wouldn't it make more sense to curate armor pieces on all Tho'at and Marauder drops after you have all of the weapons collected, especially since there are more armor pieces than weapons???

How does this work? I'm a sticker book collector, but I've only killed Thoat twice, for armour pieces- my request would've been to get guaranteed weapons from her, and armour from the boss chests in the lead up.

Maybe I haven't done enough to see how the gear drops work there!

Arc 1 drops a curated armor piece. Arc 2 Tho'at and Marauders drop curated weapons. Arc 3 Tho'at and Marauders drop curated armor pieces. Going forward from Arc 2 on it just alternates between armor and weapons.

1.) They have to add more zones in IA the same green and black in Hermaeus Mora's realm is really dull and getting old. Maybe some beach type area from High Isle or even area's from dungeons. But if they want to keep IA for the long run it will need to be overhauled pretty much regularly.

2A.) Build eh maybe a Hot take but for solo play if you don't build for resistance or Pen you will be very bad off and your aren't limited per say to what build you can play but if you want to get far you have to pretty much build this way. I have a 1 bar warden using focused efforts with ice furnace and heartland. It's a status effect build so I can make it to arc 8 with the right visions/ verse which leads me to my next point.

2B.) Verse/vision the dungeon is focused more on luck rather than Skill I would say. Maelstrom, Vateshran Hollows are very mechanic heavy are (IMO play and feel a lot better and rewarding) which is fine with me and is fun. But IA is very luck based when playing solo and leads back into point 1.A limiting how far you will/can go due to the way you have to build if you plan to make to arc 4 or higher. You can carry extra sets for later arcs but you will still need pen and resistance which I'm not against or believe it's not important because it is. But it really limits what build you can successful play solo in IA.

3.) Class sets are complete garbage and should've never been added they are so bad. That is being nice.

4.) Style pages are still not dropping we know you want to stretch this IA for as long as possible but if you take care of your players and ACTUAL listen to FEEDBACK looking at you Rich you won't have to do things like this to keep people coming back. just take care of your product and players will stay around. Maybe move some crown crate people to IA to keep it fresh.

5.) Mobs are redundant and overused and seems to be the same select small hand picked mobs. Bosses are good keep adding more.

6.) Fire Marauder needs a nerf and that one women in the secret portal with the 2 green crystals could also use a little nerf.

7.) Please add more portals as time goes on

8.) All lootable containers should have a loot pool of all Furnishing Schematics in the game.

9.) Updated vendor that sales the upgrades most of us if not all have probably bought all the upgrades and Furnishing items all already. The rotating vendor deservers praise thank you for that!

10.) Daily quest should be updated with other rewards the mount was a nice touch but we will need a reason to do them again once we get the mount I have 2 more days and I got mine. Maybe a random crate once a day that drops some kind of item that is WORTH doing.

11.) Transmutes reward us with Transmutes

12.) Another game mode that older arcade games used like Mortal Kombat for example had a ladder type game mode where you start from round 1 and go up to 10 fighting random characters from the game. It could be matches of 10 random selected bosses with increased HP and DMG or whatever, until you reach 10 ofc it doesn't reset if you die or leave unless you drop the quest or reset it and they drop something of value rather it be currency, transmutes, style pages ect. Just something to mix it up just a little but not enough to make it not IA anymore. Just an example guys don't shoot me but another game mode within IA that makes sense would be nice just to add a little variety.

I've always just watching him flying around and then when he strafes I just don't stand in the direct line that he's flying and he's never been an issue. If you take your eyes off of him or stand in the middle of the arena, then you're toast for sure.

He's the deadliest in the arena because his telegraphs are incredibly poor. He spawns aoe that doesn't have proper messaging and you don't have to be in his direct line to be hit by his ice breath.

I know i have written this more than once in the past, but i would have added a seperate difficulty options for those who care about using the correct builds, skills, and gears, and also for those who don't care about - or don't want to need - any of those things and just want to have a casual and chill experience.

tl,dr: normal/casual and veteran difficulty options.

arc 1 is already the "normal" difficulty, people have cleared it with no gear equipped, and you could use pretty much any gear to clear it, especially now that companions are virtually immune to 95% of the dmg from the archive they can actually tank bosses (with only a few exceptions)

using "the right" gear just allows you to clear it much faster (on a dps spec character ive cleared arc 1 in ~15-20 min at the fastest)

I disagree. A couple of days ago, i have tried to do the infinite archive with a level 25 nightblade in a solo setting, with no companions, good build or gear, and i got my behind handed to me by the adds. First turn, first stage, first arc.

    That needs to change.

I really love the aesthetic, personally! Additional arenas with time, sure, but I hope it still fits the general dark fantasy feel of Apocrypha. Perhaps the portals to the unknown could go beyond that? I’d like those to hold even more variety in what they entail as well as the difficulty, from silly fun to downright deadly.

Additional mob and boss types added to the mix will be good, not that there isn’t variety, but a surprise when you think you’ve seen everything is always nice.

I love that the Archive drops books and other furnishings, plans, and leads! The rotating selection from Filer Ool is great too, just hope he offers some of those horrible treasure map RNG gated leads sooner than later!

Oh, yes, this would definitely be my number one request as well, and the reason I don’t play it more often. I hesitate to start unless I know I’ll have several hours uninterrupted, and that’s not always feasible.
