What you suggest as a response... just leave it on for 7-12 hours with massive exploits and random character "hacking"?... please grow up, this is a standard response to this type of situation.

I just had to post on this. I don't know why I found that so funny but I was cracking up for a while.

Anywho, there are things they can do to stop further exploitation without patching the game, such as disabling certain features. It's just a way to buy time until they figure out the exact issue and patch it.

Some fixes aren't possible without a patch so it makes sense what they're doing.

Your evidence for that serious allegation is ... what?

Players losing items, gaining items they haven't earned, losing bank contents doesn't mean the servers or accounts were 'hacked'.

If by 'hacked' you mean 'stolen', then use the correct word and put the blame where it lies, which isn't with Zenimax.
