Server down during peak Australian / Oceania time

Hi,

I was looking forward to making the most of early access tonight after getting home from work, though when I logged on the server was down and its been that way all night. This is ridiculous for Australian fans. Early launch went up at 10pm on a Sunday night here so was unable to log in then due to work/sleep. Been busy last few nights with minimal opportunity and now server down...

Is there any plans for an alternate Australia/Oceania server that would have different maintenance times??

Feel like I have had minimal opportunity to make the most of early access to be honest. Sure this is similar for a number of fans in Australia and Asian countries

If you read my post, you will realise I'm not asking for one before official release.

Though I am concerned that this may be a common trend post release and would like to know what plans Zenimax has for future server maintenance times or an Oceanic server.

Being in the Australian timezone yourself, I thought you would at least understand this issue...

As an Australian, I too am upset, but I highly doubt that they care enough about us to lose money setting up an Oceania mega-server. Australia has always been the third-wheel, or the fifth-wheel even, when it comes to gaming.

We're just going to have to deal with it until we're cared about, i.e. never.

Highly doubtful aussie server will happen (swtor debacle)
However I am also in same situation in OZ as u have listed and am really frustrated.
I have played other opening games and sure u get the downtime in the first few days.
But this has taken our whole 1st day as stated above.
Then to get news that Sunday night prime time will be weekly downtime as well is a kick in the knackers.
I know we wont get compensation as some are asking and I dont believe we should. But a bit more news about whats happening would be nice.

I play from China, at least your latency from OZ is much better I also have to experience the timezone issue as well, and I agree that it kind of sucks. I'd be interested to see players by demographic, it may help quantify why it doesn't make sense to launch an oceanic/aus. megaserver.

As an Australian player I too would love to see something for us.. however we're always ignored and pushed to the side.

We do have a fairly big player base and shouldn't be treated as such
