housing bug with armory station + storage chests

i ran into this oddity last night

i was grouped with my gf for an archive run, she ported into my house before me, and when i went in, all of my storage chests and the armory station were for some reason moved to 200 meters underground under the spawn point of the house

this occurred twice (once i had moved the items back to where they were, after the other time, we ported out of the house and then i ported back in on my own and the storage was back in the correct place)

it was unusual because on her screen all of the storage chests were in the correct spots, while for me and in the housing editor they were missing and located approx 200 meters underground under the spawn point of the house

i had no issues if i had ported into my house first, but if she ported in before me, it would bork the locations for the items for me but not for her

it was very annoying when i needed to use the storage chests and they were not located where they were, so i either had to enter the house first or move the chests to access them

i had never run into this until yesterday lol

i only noticed that it seemed to occur when a grouped player entered the house before me

found it more annoying than a real problem lol

That's interesting as to what might cause it. I can't quite recall the order of who entered which house first when I see it, but I'll see if my partner's up for some testing. I hope this can help the devs figure this out, because it's been an issue since at least Update 33.

I agree it's more annoying than problematic when it's purely cosmetic (like an Aeon lightning table disappearing, leaving some cats floating in midair), but it can be frustrating if I'm just ducking into my house to use the coffers and chests and they're all gone. That's a lot more time than I planned to retrieve them and reposition them in their prior spots or to try to port out and hope they behave when I get back.

yeah, in this case, i was grouped with my gf, and she was already in my house, i ported in to her and all of the chests were gone

after she logged out i ported back to the house (so we were still grouped but she was offline) and the chests were in the correct spots for me

it wasnt much of a test, but thats what stood out to me (im a software dev for my normal job, so i have to recreate bugs the testers find so im used to verifying things if i see something out of the ordinary lol)
