Wrong Server on early launch

Hello, as most people i,v downloaded and installed the game. When we got to play on sundag i just logged in and started to play. As i live in europe i assumed "didnt think about it when game came out" the game would set to europe megaserver by itself. Now after 3,5 days of playing i see that my game is automaticly set to north america. So this means if i want to play on european server i cant acces my char and have to start all over ? Isnt there a way to transfer you char to european server?

During beta you could switch megaserver and keep your characters. Why don't you try and see if it's still like that?

I did just change to europe megaserver but now iv to download like 5GB again. And it says on the FAQ that if you make a char on american server and change to europe server that you cannot play that char there. Its stated here :

At launch, game accounts will have access to both the North American and the European megaservers, but individual characters will be bound to the server on which players create them. Accounts can maintain a total of eight characters per server, so players could have a total of 16 characters if they play on both servers. Players will also have to download the game client a second time if they wish to play on both megaservers.

The North American and European megaservers for The Elder Scrolls Online are both currently housed in our North American datacenter, but they operate independently of one another. We will transfer the European megaserver to our European datacenter soon.

Ohh I didn't know they changed that, kinda unexpected. Perhaps you can send them an e-mail explaining your situation from their support page: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/

They offer account name changes as well, so I wouldn't expect them to ignore you. Good luck.

Thank you, ill try to login in eu server in a few min and see what happends, if my char is there im all happy if not ill make a ticket.

Its not the worst thing in the world, but last night i had alot of lag and its prob because im connecting to a na server.

This was no more possible in the end of the beta

plz fix it so that you are on the EU side.. so the server doesn't freak out

Unfortunately your characters on the NA server are not accessible on the EU server and you will probably need to restart new characters if you want to be on EU instead.

Good luck, though! Maybe Customer Support can help you find a better solution.

During beta they copied their NA megaserver I think, so you could play your NA character on the EU one on the last beta weekend, but if you switched back to NA it was back as it was when it was last played on the NA megaserver.

I also did this, but I didn't notice I was on the NA servers till I was level 45, rank 10 vampire and in possession of the daedric and ancient elf motifs. Spoke to bethesda and they basically told me start all over again on the EU server (because I obviously like wasting my time, because they can't be bothered to code the launchers to recognise people in the EU).

So now I play on the NA servers but have my alt on the EU, going on my past mmo experience I never end up sticking with my main anyway as it is like my own personal beta run. But yeah come on bethesda, I'm sure it's not that hard to transfer characters between megaservers.

What an interesting statement. I am in the EU but play on NA servers and if this causes you to lag then I will switch servers for you. Not really, I do not care about your lag problems.
