On the side note they should change (hopefully but highly doubt it) at least some things about this set in upcoming incremental patch but I have no idea when that is.

Update 41 is typically around 1st/2nd week of March. This is the longest downtime in the games release cycle at about 5 months, we get access to PTS around end of January where we can confirm if the set has been adjusted or not.

If this update wasn't proof enough of eso being run by skeleton crew, I don't what is.

that has no bearing on "skeleton crew" the game has literally always been like that because in the US nov/dec are major holiday periods, which is where the the devs work and live

the Q4 release has always been the last major content release (they do sometimes do small patches between Q4 and the next years Q1 to fix bugs and such)

Yeah that isn't really what my comment was getting at. This is just how things go. Chapter + Q3 and Q4 are all super close together because that gives them time to capitalize on their new player audiance. It's obvious why they make a bigger gap after that point so they can focus on next years chapter. Q1 DLC is small to allow the playerbase that stuck around something to tide them over till summer, when the next chapter releases again.

Pretty much all MMO's and live service games go through these cycles. They know they're going to lose players at specific times throughout the year. They do their best with in game events back to back, etc, but sometimes you take the hit and focus efforts elsewhere.

i know, but the person i quoted apparently does not lol

Another bug regarding monoliths of storms, if the target dies while taking damage, there is a chance that the monolith will not be spawned.

In addition, when the monolith generates or deals damage, it may cause a short delay or pause in the action.

Recently golded out this set, so I am necroing this thread to hopefully bring awareness that it needs a little love.

Just a background of how I am running it. I have a stamina sorcerer that I play around with, not trying to be meta anything. I pair this 5 piece with Overwhelming Surge to get some additional Magicka sustain to constantly be Streaking through enemies. My build is strictly melee. I have 4 sources of AOE damage over time around me, which makes it a very fun thematic build for being a "storm". Hurricane, Deadly Cloak, Overwhelming Surge, and now Monolith. I pair all this AoE damage with straight single target damage from 2H.

Anyways, at the very least the damage from this set should start when you only have 1 monolith, linking to you. In addition, your character should become a "monolith", giving your character the aoe pulse that the monoliths have. I don't know how easy of a change it would be but the current 5th tick of damage interaction feels bad. Throwing up Hurricane before entering combat, just to miss the first tick on a nearby enemy, then having to wait several seconds to see a monolith produced from it is crazy. If the set is not going to get any extra benefits or interactions, these things certainly need to be cleaned up.

The elephant in the room is the Storm Calling ultimate. Great way to produce these monoliths. Unfortunately this ult is used for cheesing parses, and when it isn't, it is used to just light attack over and over, simplifying your kit for the time being. Not fun. Not to mention all the weird bugs associated with using it. I have tried incorporating this ultimate to breathe some life into this set and it doesn't feel good on a melee sorc. Maybe its just me, but I would love to see this ultimate changed into something that isn't a toggle

There are tons of other great recommendations regarding this set here on the forums, just hoping something can be considered for the new class restrictive set.

i found myself using wrath on mobs to make pillars and hoping one gets to the trigger before wrath wears off so it can do it's explosion stuff and chain react.
