Negate perma bug

With U40, we got a serious Negate bug, sometimes when you get negated, it stays permanently on you so you cant use magica skills. Only found solution so far die or change zone. Many of the guild member had this bug yesterday evening when we played in Cyrodiil.

This happened to me about 20 times last night. If you get negated at all you're instantly stuck in a perma negate. This is game breaking for PvP. You've got negate spammers now taking advantage of this.

I will second that this is completely unplayable unless you don't want to use ultimates or magicka skills. My entire group had to call raid early tonight because the moment we got into any real fight we were almost immediately Negate-bugged.

Leaving a reply to add my 2 cents.
This is happening to everyone and PVP is currently pretty much unplayable because of this.
Testing shown that it happens when the caster of the negate dies after casting said negate.
Inside of keeps it happens more often because of the menders.

Bumping this as well because this has had a serious and detrimental effect to PVP. Particularly within keep fights in Cyro. Even in open fields this bug is awful because the only known way to get rid of it is to die. Please try to find a fix and hot fix this soon. It's often the impression that ZOS already places PVP issues so far below PVE ones. Ignoring this bug, or placing it low on a long list of issues only gives that impression additional force. I've experienced the negate bug and totally agree - entirely hard to play with. Might as well take a break from PVP until it gets fixed cuz people are going to start spamming negates now to troll or cheese.

Thanks for the reply, it is such a pain. I was not affected yet, but my friends, it seems to be pretty common now. I wonder if uncle Sheo would work on this.

Tbh i never got this. Most pvpers i know are or were subscribed to Eso+, buying new content for the sets/mythics, need all the cute and pretty dresses (like me)...i would assume even more than PvErs

Same - I have been a ESO + member for... 5 years now? and buy all the DLC and lord knows I buy way to many crown crates.

FYI - the negate bug is still there. Not sure if todays maintenance was to fix it or not but if it was it's still broken.

This bug has made cyro unplayable. My pvp group stopped playing last night due to this perms negate bug.

Sorry to ping again, but is there a general ETA on a fix? Its not unreasonable to say that PvP is in its current state, literally unplayable. I'm just curious because I have my raid wondering if they should make plans for this weekend or maybe hold out for a potential fix. TY

We have cancelled 4 raids this week and are cancelling them indefinitely until this is fixed.

The amount of people just running the suicide negate meta is dumb at this point. Just run in with no gear on, throw negate, die, perma negate 30-40 people.

Azure is super, super bugged. Fix its ability to rack up stacks from multiple users on the same target and you won’t get people stacking it, which means the server and client won’t get overwhelmed quite so much.

Just coming back to this to say folks are still experiencing issues with this. I was hoping the maintenance the other day would've fixed this, but no-go.

If they wanted to kill PVP, this would be one way to do it. I'm in a few guilds that are cancelling their runs indefinitely until this is fixed, as it makes Cyro entirely unplayable.

Just an update, I believe other ground effects that disappear on death can have the same result, like a colossus or standard.
