Do we need more inventory slots?

Really.. we have enough spaces, but until the inventory management system in this game is updated, yes we need more space. That is really what should be fixed, not space.

As a vet player, you get used to the management, although ever time consuming.

For a new player, I can easily see how this would be too daunting and complex for a parent with kids, just looking to unwind for an hour or 2 before bed.

Starters.. clean up the materials in this game. There is no logical reason to have materials for 10 diffferent tiers from lv 1 - cp 160, you could easily convert all of it to end game cp 160 mats, and then adjust the pricing for what it costs to make things. Nowadays, the grind from lv 1 - cp 160 is what.. 1 day for a vet player? Maybe 3-5 days for a new player that takes their time.. Then you spend 1000s of hours never using those materials again.

Eg. lv 1 items cost 1 rubedite, lv 10 items cost 10 rubedite, lv 160 cp items cost 320 rubedite. Etc. We've seen ZOS is capable of multiplying our materials (jewelry crafting plating changes) and changing costs for crafting (jewelry improvements).

I understand they want to create arbitrary barriers that make the crafting bag from ESO + seem better, but this isn't the way. It's still a bottomless pit of inventory space so changing mats from 9 useless to 1, times all the crafting types, would still give players a reason to pay for it because they simply want the free space. Among other reasons like all the DLC available with the 10 years it's been alive at this point, do we really need to make scummy ways to get players money? The value is there regardless.

Same goes for style materials. I guarantee maybe 0.1% of the population actually uses these things because everyone just uses costumes or the outfit station. This a relic from a by gone era where crafting items with specific styles was useful because we couldn't easily cover them with any style we wanted. For 6-7 years I've used my base race style page to craft 100s of set items.

Lastly, a way to box up set items conveniently. If memory serves correctly, in Runescape, if you had all 5 set pieces of rune armor for example, you could bundle them into a box, that you could then store or make into paper (to remove the weight). If I could bundle up my sets to use 1 space instead of 5, then open them up to get the pieces I needed quickly and intuitively, a lot of space would be saved and banks would be more fun to deal with.

TLDR: Improve inventory management. 480 bank slots and 215 inventory spaces per character is more than enough, it's just used in a terribly dated system from pre 2014, when the game was still in developement. We have a max lv now, we have one tamriel, we have the sticker book, transmute crystals, outfit station, costumes, etc. There is no reason this should be so annoying to manage.

Let's take a look at just some very basic items for a non-eso+ player.

Zenimax is not going to balance inventory space based on the non-ESO+ player.

We will never be happy with the amount of inventory space they give us. If they gave us 347 more slots we would be happy for maybe a month. Then those slots would be full and we would want more.

I honestly thought I made it big when I got 200 inventory slots (both bag and mount upgrades) and 240 bank slots. But no, nowhere even close. I'm carrying so much stuff and I always have difficulty deciding what's junk and what's something I'll need later.

My inventory always sits at around the 110/200 area mostly. I also have to agree though. If they increased it, they'll just add more stuff that should be kept "just in case". Bloating our inventories even more. Sometimes I wish the crown items didn't take up space, like the experience scrolls.

They won't. But, they should be adding inventory space every now and then for them. They certainly don't have a problem adding more and more mats. This is not a free to play game. They are paying customers too.

A good way to monetize it would be if each armory slot would get 15 slots to store gear for each build. 12 for gear, 13/14 for back bar weapons. One extra for food or potions/poisons.

    Stay safe :)

All my spaces are full again today. I have emailed things to someone else and they send them back so I can use my mail as storage until I find time to clear it out again.

So how many spaces are enough?

What should ZOS increase it to, so you can always hold all the stuff you want and have space for all the new things you want to pick up?

Oh thats is an easy question

Asnwer: All furnishings not placed go into a furnishing bag like the craft bag we have with eso plus

All siege gear go into a siege bag like the craft bag for materials

And finally, with every expansion increase bank slots by 10.

    Did I forget anything people?

    Cheers

They just introduced 6 new sets each with ~40 pieces...yes... we need new space!! The game keeps getting bigger with more sets, it only makes sense to expand the storage capacity
3 GOs, a Warlord, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP

You guys realise you can now also decon all your useless jewellery you once bought from the golden?

    Oh, and transmutate stones.

There is no valid reason to keep everything in your bank unless:
    - You create a new setup every day
    - You cannot pay for a new setup once in a while
    - You like to punish yourself???

Why do you want to store everything of that? Why would you like to keep the sharpened/infused/precise BSW inferno staff that dropped almost 10 years ago? Why would you like to keep an golden item in bank that has been taking inventory for 5+ years, when recreating it only costs some gold you already have?

To be honest, I have a feeling people are creating a problem which isn't a problem. It is much more convenient to just decon stuff that takes up your space instead of playing the inventory minigame every time over and over again for stuff you didn't use for years and can easily afford and recreate again....

I think it depends on the aspects of the game that the player focuses on the most.

For me, that would be housing, crafting and questing.

Crafting has already been addressed by the introduction of a crafter bag which stores all crafting resources. This alone is worth the ESO+ membership for me.

However, as a housing fan (and this is one of the main selling points for ESO for me...), the sheer amount of furniture that keeps being introduced, much of which is bound and cannot be either sold or deconstructed for materials, is getting out of hand.

I now have one 700 slot house solely for the storage of furniture and housing items. 80 % of my bank is full of housing items. All 6 storage chests are full. And I have an extra bank char *only for bound furniture*!

It is definitely time to introduce a furniture bag, just like the crafter bag.

    Oh, and it's high time that treasure maps can *STACK*! ^^;;

Yes! We definitely need a "storage unit".

The more you have inventory space the more you have trash.

Although a few new furniture chests wouldn't hurt...

I'm with daim. I would love a few more of those furnishing chests
