So what's the point of the Golden Vendor now?

I mean, Jewelry is no longer going to be prohibitively expensive to upgrade, and as it stands, the number of dungeons ESO nowadays means it would take over a year for the Vendor to cycle through all the available Monster sets. So is it just gonna become an obsolete feature, or get reworked?

I think gold jewelry from Golden will still sell but just cheaper.

They could add something to golden vendor thats tradeable to make up for the gold jewelry becoming cheap.

They could just lower the prices a bit. I think plenty of people will still check it every weekend in hopes of buying. Plenty of people would rather spend AP than gold.

Not everyone runs dungeons so it’ll still be checked. I hope it gets expanded to include more monster helms just like Luxury gets something new.

I would prefer that the golden stopped selling Overland jewelry and base game dungeon sets.

This way it would act as a means to grab jewelry and monster sets from DLC dungeons that take anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes each.

My guess is that it will become an obsolete feature. Aside from rings, I think that the large number of sets will make it irrelevant. Someone looking for a specific set is going to wait a long time, and if they miss it... :disappointed: ZOS might take a second glance at it in a couple years, though. They just updated it this year, so it is too soon.

That doesn't track. If they don't run dungeons, why would they need the Jewelry from a set that they'll never get the body pieces/weapons from? The Golden Vendor doesn't sell Daggers, or Belts, just Jewelry. Which, after the dust settles, will most likely be cheaper to upgrade than Light/Medium Armor, and possibly cheaper than Heavy Armor/Rubedite Weapons, too.
I hope it gets expanded to include more monster helms just like Luxury gets something new.
That'd be nice. With half of 2 Monster sets available each week, and almost 60 dungeon Monster sets, it would take over a year to cycle through all of them (assuming no disruptions in items from each Monster set being listed). So yeah, it'd be great if they made some changes to allow that cycle to go a bit faster, like maybe getting rid of the Jewelry and posting double to number of Monster Set items.
I won't hold my breath, though. I'm just wondering if the Vendor is gonna become another outdated part of the game since there's no longer going to be a useful purpose to how it currently works.

It would be Cool if the Golden Vendor started to offer 1 Gold Ring and 1 Gold Necklace of Perfected Quality from a Trial...

They should increase the available weekly items of the Golden vendor now that gold jewelry will be far less exclusive.

Well I was speaking to monster sets, not really jewelry. As someone who relies on the Golden Vendor for monster sets now I would love if they added more of them.

I wish there was a way to get weapons and body pieces, like you can with IC dungeons. That’d be nice but oh well.

I appreciate the DLC dungeon shoulder sets being available as the only other way to get then is uncurated RNG boxes. If I really want a set then of course I have to go that route, but I’ll take advantage of when I can complete my stickerbook through the Golden vendor.

Golden vendor still serves a purpose. Despite her catalogue being mostly trash, but it does feel good when you finally get that monster piece that you were seeking to complete but RNG boxes screwed you over big time.

Basically to get stuff without pve. That's what I use it for primarily. Could use some updates on newer stuff more often and offer a wider selection to match it's original ratio of offers to possibilities

90+% of my monster sets came from the golden vendor as I don't like playing dungeons. I thought they were supposed to include more sets in a recent update, but it is only occasionally that one shows up I don't already have. Without additional sets, just means I don't really need gold for anything.

I don't use the vendor for gold jewelry, and that likely is not going to change. I'll reconstruct and upgrade what I need.

Honestly for a long time now the only good thing in the golden has been monster set shoulders. But I know many people also like picking up the hems there as well, so I think if they dropped the jewelry entirely and replaced it with the same week's helms so both the shoulders and helms were available at the same time it would be a significant improvement. Maybe make them available in gold quality so the name of the vendor is still accurate.

The real question is when will zos have the golden give 2-3x the number of sets it currently does?
We get more and more gear sets each year with no increase in the number of sets the vendor offers. Doesn't take a mathematical genius to see this will result in a long long time before each set comes around.

I would like to see the number of shoulders increased. That is probably the most annoying thing to farm right now. Either that or they should add a curated option for the key vendors.

Assuming the price drops, you could buy massive stocks with all that ap and decon gold jewelry often then. Easy gold plate source, thats if the prices drop to managble levels.

Yeah just add more of these sets. I used to run vet dungeons all the time. However after I quit and starting pvping I cannot stand them. More sets would mean less waiting.

The Jewelry part of the Golden Vendor is way less useful now.

Maybe it would be nice if they added weapons from dungeon sets—those take a long time to grind out, even with curated drops.

The benefit of having overland/PvP jewelry was that it was one way to convert AP to gold.

i mainly use the gold vendor for monster shoulders

but like others mentioned theres so many monster shoulders and they feel like they repeat so frequently that im still missing many monster shoulders

i will not waste undaunted keys on filling out the collection book unless we get a curated monster shoulder box

There's still monster helms in the vendor, if you don't have em all. Golding a piece of jewelry will probably end up slightly more expensive than golding light/medium armor, which currently costs... 400k per piece? So even at its current price, it'll still be cheaper in the gold vendor.

My guess: The war is over, Cyrodiil will become another peaceful place for questing and flower farming. Maybe even the deer will come back. The golden vendor will retire. The End.

I’d like to see the golden start selling arena and trial weapons. Maybe 2m AP for regular and 10m AP for perfected versions.

Maybe non-perfected versions, but the second perfect gear drops from the golden, you’re gonna have people throwing a tantrum.

I don’t think it’s too much at all. Look at the leaderboard for the top 20 in each alliance, in each campaign, to understand how widely available these weapons would become even at 10m. One million AP is a Saturday night for a lot of us it’s nothing.

The alternative to spending that much would be to do what’s done now, play the content to earn the weapons.

I would like to see the items from the Golden put on a regular scheduled rotation just like the Lux vendor so it would be easier to know when something will come around again. RNG from a vendor doesn't cut it.

Also, not everyone is able to run DLC dungeons consistently to get some of the necklaces. Golden is still useful in this way. I cannot run DLC dungeons because my timezone is... tricky without being able to communicate with people and most guilds are super NA heavy.
