@SkaraMinoc I was healing on my sorc the last few days and I must say ... the bound aegis buff definitely changed the ehole healing gameplay for me on the sorc. it's awesome to have minor resolve and protection on both bars ... just love it😂 even my matriarch didn't die as much as it used to do cause now I have an extra slot on my bar for the shield😂

@Bashev I disagree on the "only self-healing part". The reason is because every class has a burst heal that can heal other players .... even dks with obsidian shard ... and yes, I count it as a burst heal because it's extremely powerful and heals 2 people at the same time for a crazy amount.

However, I totally agree that it needs a change. Like any other burst heal, it should scale off your magicka simply to make tanky HP builds "useless". Wardens are great healers and unfortunately a lot of people who play a warden have simply forgotten how strong the class is even without polar wind .... It is the strongest healing class along with Templar because it provides you with nice HoTs, burst heals and AoE heals.

Warden have burst heals that can heal others in green balance tree. Making polar wind to scale from magicka would be an issue for warden tanks which this skill is primarly designed for as basically every class have some health based defense for tanks to use.

@Galeriano hmm true actually there is a skill that could become an instant burst heal besides polar wind. "Nature's Grasp" is a HoT but if they change it a little bit it could replace polar wind and would be from the green tree skill line. Actually if they would change the skill to something like this:

    "Nature's Embrace":
Launch a vine to swing yourself to an ally, healing yourself or them based on your injuries for 3485 Health. Also heals the other injured target for 1199 Health.

    "Bursting Vines":
"Launch a vine to swing yourself to an ally, instantly healing them for 4958 Health. Gain 10 Ultimate when healing an ally under 60% Health while you are in combat. This effect can occur every 4 seconds."

These changes would actually give you two great morphs for that skill.

    1) You have a burst heal that heals you and your ally and whoever has less HP will get the bigger heal.

    2) You could use the "Bursting Vines" morph to actually heal the other person for more and gain ultimate back.

    3) It's also a great way to "escape" and burst heal at the same time from a fight.

This again? Quit trying to nerf other's classes because you can't figure out how to counteract. I play a 40k polar wind warden and am finally having a great time in pvp as a healer. Before this build playing a healer, who is first to be targeted and dogpiled, was the worst feeling. Horrible experience. I cant heal my team and fulfill my role if I am always the first one to die. This build is the solution to being focused every single encounter. Just admit you don't want your opponents to have any heals. That's all this is about.

[snip] I read. So the only PvP healer from 6 classes should be wardens? Because you are not able to heal with another class?

@SpiritKitten don't get me wrong, but you can easily play a warden healer without 40k HP... if you can't do that it sounds like a you problem because I know several warden healers with less than 40k HP and they are god tier. Of course it's no fun to die ... I mean, who likes to die, but you really shouldn't focus your whole build on one skill to stay alive .... and as for the term bot ... being a skill bot doesn't mean anything bad ... it just tells others that you overcast a certain skill ...

Overcast? I cast it as many times as the game allows me to when I think it's needed. Overcast doesn't mean anything.

Did I say that Warden was the only choice to heal? No I didn't. But for me, I play a warden pve healer and so I already know the class and am comfortable playing a PVP warden. So what exactly was your point?

That was your words. That for the first time you are happy to heal and before you were targeted and you had bad experience.

Off course now you will have a nice experience when in BGs we do not have enough damage to nuke such healers unless you are lucky and all players in your group are good one. 2 good players are not enough and had multiple games where this was proven.

@SpiritKitten ehmm just wondering to make sure again.... But you know you're in the BG section right? You know you're going to take a lot of damage if you don't overcast your heals, aka overheal in BGs, right? Normally, every healer has at least one HoT active on their group members while using their burst heals. In your case, with 40k+ HP on a warden with polar wind, you don't have to worry about that so much because that skill has both of those things in its toolkit.
Oh, and also ... you can overcast skills ... This is literally what happens when you spam a certain skill several times in a row and since your healing output on every other heal is not that high due to the fact that your magicka pool is very low, you will spam polar wind ...
And before you start telling me that I do the same thing ... Yes, I do, but I don't have a burst HoT heal on any other class I play on, and currently I'm playing my Sorc, so ... that argument won't work because I don't have a burst HoT heal and I have to "make" one myself by using "Radiating Regeneration" or "Rapid Regeneration" and the matriarch.
So yeah .... polar wind definitely doesn't need any change ....

Fairly certain I can break 7m on a Sorc healer. Here's 6.4m and a Warden teammate was stealing heals.

With 359 heals from Matriarch it means that you casted the skill at least 180 times, this is in perfect condition 3 minutes. From 15 minutes you spent 3 minutes casting that skill and this is the minimum if you heal always 2 targets. Basically every 5 skill was matriarch if we conclude that the combat was non stop but I doubt. So maybe 33% of the time you used that skill.

    Thanks for sharing the log.

    I guess I have a couple comments/questions on your build @SkaraMinoc.
The 1st is the choice for double resto ults instead of slotting barrier on the front bar for the boost to mag recovery and/or the option to use barrier.
The 2nd is the choice for double resto staffs instead of swapping radiating regen and alter placements to allow a frost staff of 1h+s back bar for defensive measures.
The 3rd is the use of inner light vs slotting bound armor for minor resolve (which you don't have access to) and the ability to have a very powerful block, and then using hp + mag + spell crit pots.

I know you fine tune your builds extensively, these were just the things that popped into my head while looking at the superstar screenshot.

Situations exist where double resto staff/ult pays off because even 200ms from bar swapping back to frontbar is long enough for teammates to die. Barrier only has a 12m range and in Solo Queue it's very rare to have all teammates within 12m.

Bound Aegis is an option if I drop Inner Light and Heroism pots but I've got the mats so I use them.

    vaqtle2.png

In the past I've used Bound Aegis but always found it better to spend the magicka on a burst heal instead. Having Bound Aegis active when needed may be enough to discourage enemies from focusing. So I may try this again.

I've been thinking about backbarring ice staff lately because when I get focused I definitely feel the stamina drain. If I use ice staff then I don't need a stam recovery line on potions and probably don't need Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch.

I will do some testing and may make adjustments.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the answers. You'd be able to use the red frothgar then I guess with no need for the stam recovery from bear haunch.
4th question that I forgot to mention: why snow treaders (I believe you are using the ball of lightning morph which gives some root and snare removal, right?) instead of ddf, for example?

The snare/root immunity is only 2 seconds and you'll waste global cooldowns that are needed for heals and buffs. You can't change direction when rooted so you might teleport into enemy groups, into lava, off a ledge, or break line of sight with your group. Snow treaders is like night and day. I have a build with DDF and if nobody has toxic cc then I'll use it.

@SpiritKitten you can easily outheal on wardens or templars any other class thanks to all the HoTs and other healing skills ... Sorcs are very strong healers but once the pet is down your burst heal is gone for a few seconds ... especially when they interrupt you conjuring your pet ... which means at least 5 seconds without a burst heal on a class with 2 healing skills that can heal other group members

Sorc healer falls apart if you don't have a good team applying pressure. Otherwise your teammates won't notice the 2-3 sweaty players killing the pet and then the Sorc. The whole build falls apart without a good team whereas a Warden healer still has a chance of saving a mediocre or even bad team.
