Can we get the Molten Whip morph to cost the higher of our 2 max resources? This split cost thing feels jank now that the arcanist is out

I prefer it as it is, helps with sustain by using our off resource

PvP wise current double cost is actually one of the upsides of this ability.

I think they need to rollback hybridization or make all class-based skills use the higher of your 2 max resources.

Hybridization allowing you to use a mix of stamina and magicka skills is why you see players in PvP now putting all points into health and end up with 40K health damage dealers. It makes it a lot easier to sustain without investing in sustain or max resources.

Stam builds have been doing that since the beginning of time. Mag is and was the resource dump for utility class skills. So no that's not the problem.

    1. They're not going to rollback the change, there's more positives than negatives. They have just completely ignored adjusting sets from the change, adjusting classes or touching pvp at all for whatever reason.

    2. If you make every skill take the highest resource, you end up homogenizing everything further. Arcanist has a lot of great qualities, but the first thing I noticed is there isn't much of a distinction between Mag/Stam builds. They feel virtually the same. If they add that mechanic to existing classes, it should be capped to 1-2 skills at most... like whip for example, although some like the split cost now I see.

Spammables using the higher cost scaling makes the most sense because they're generally what decide if you'll go a Stam or Mag build in order to sustain it. I could easily see Templar's Jabs getting this treatment because both skills are effectively the same. Stam is just the ugly step child that happens to make builds a bit flexible with brutality, but sacrifices some of Templars best offensive healing.
