Is the updated xp gain for master writs more or less than on live ?

Title.

Has anyone tested if the new xp gain for master writs on pts is more or less than on the live servers ?
I stacked a bunch of writs to level an alt and I want to know if it's better to do before or after U40 dropped.

TIA

I wouldn't mind an answer to this too. Iirc the patch notes said master writs would give "maximum xp" so does that mean they'll all be the same now?

I always wait for a double XP event anyway, but I was curious what the impact of this change will be. If they will all be the same and all be the maximum amount then that will be an increase for some of them.

Me too. If this event is followed by a few days of an explorer event like last year it'd be handy to know

I have looked into this from the beginning, so here's the answer:

The old (current live) system worked like this:
Equipment Writs (jewlery, blacksmith, clothing, woodworking) gave a base exp of 16840.
Consumeable Writs (enchanting, provisioning, alchemy) gave a base exp of 11227.

The current PTS system basically updated all writs to give the same base exp, which is what they referred to as ''max exp''. This max exp is equivalent to literally exactly the equipment writ value.

TLDR: All master writs now give 16840 exp rather than 16840/11227, which is a massive buff for alchemy/enchanting/provisioning writs, since despite being a 50% lower exp yield, were still basically the fastest way of grinding exp in the game ignoring money costs.

I have a video on my channel diving deep into this stuff, but in that video I accidently calculated the 10% eso+ onto the 16840 so I thought it was 18525 base exp. Rest is still 100% accurate.
I should add that: these values are unchanging based on how much writ vouchers you gained, how expensive material wise it was or cheap, etc. it would always be 1 of those 2 values, and now it will always be the same value.

Thanks a lot, very appreciated :)
