    Still confusing.
I "voted" for Tralise and she gives me daily quest "The Cost of Knowledge" to go to nymic, which I wont do, because I always die trying to solo it and not begging for group.
What would happen if I voted for Yesra, would she also give me same quest to go to nymic? Or other quest I can actually do alone?
The other guy, Gilvas, gives daily quest to collect 5 Esoteric Parchments, which I did by gathering herbs and wood, what is my reward?
The "progress" yall talking about - how do I fill it and where do I check it? Do I need to speak to someone to see this progress, or is it somewhere in the UI?
Look, honestly, if it takes several days to figure out 'event' mechanics, its definitely not the best design.

Even with that, it was confusing about how to go about doing things. That article didn't tell you which quest was the one that we had to decide between Tralise and Yensa, or who the quest giver was that we would be interacting with. To make this matter more interesting, Tralise is standing right there and is also a quest giver. Do we do her quest as the vote? If so, where is Yensa?

The article actually made things worse. The quest itself, and even the decision, is actually very easy to understand. It is this whole "community voting" thing and the attempt to explain it outside of the game that is causing problems.

How was it confusing ? (good faith question)
    From the article;

''Work together with your fellow players to complete the new event-unique daily quest, titled “Turn the Page” to progress the community meter found on the Secrets of the Telvanni event page.''

If you accept both quests at the same time only one is called 'Turn the Page', and that's the quest where upon completing you get a voting option.

I solo'd "The Cost Of Knowledge" quest, just to see what was what.

I treated Bastion Nymic as a Heist. Sneaked through the Plague Quarter and stole the relic from behind the boss' back. It was fun. There were problems to solve, and some finding out to do since I hadn't been in there before. I recommend it.

Now, I'm left wondering if my votes in the "Turn the Page" quest affected the outcome I saw for "The Cost Of Knowledge" quest.
I voted for Yensa, and Tralise got blinded at end of "The Cost Of Knowledge" (which all-to-conveniently resolves the Mouth's dilemma about which sister to favour. How very Telvanni.) But, does Yensa get blinded if you vote for Tralise?

I agree that it should not be a part of the event.

    And it's not.

Tralise's long daily quest (which includes Bastion Nymic) is not needed in order to contribute to the event.
    I explained that above.
It *IS* a daily quest you can do during the event, but it is not required; it does not advance the event progress meters.

The Mouth Gilvas quest, "Turn the Page," is THE "event daily quest."
It is the only quest that grants progress toward the three main event rewards, and the secondary bonus reward that we vote for.

When you pick up the intro quest from the crown store, it is the quest that you are sent to. You are sent directly to the father to talk to him, which then sets up that quest line, and then sets up the quest with the Mouth, which is for the voting which is separate from the other one, even though it is the more important one for the voting stuff.

If they wanted to be clear about how the page finding quest is the only one that matters, then the intro quest should lead you to him and only him, not the father and the two daughters.

They always need to mention the name of the NPC in every article where such things matter.

"In addition, when turning in the unique event daily quest, you must choose between Tralise and Yensa for one additional end-of-event reward"

The confusion comes in because (1) they did not mention who to turn it into, and (2) one of the named people is actually standing there with a quest icon above her head. It is very easy to get turned around here trying to figure out of the game and article are both doing the same thing. They could have done a LOT better in the article explaining what was going on in the game.

I would suggest that they hire a professional technical writer to do this work, as they have experience explaining stuff like this in written form.

The in-game event is easier to understand if you DON'T read the article and don't stop to care about this whole community voting thing they added.

If something is not soloable - I will just not do it and move on with my life.

However, you did not move on with your life, you felt obliged to creat a thread, letting the world know that you will not do the event (as if that's somehow important for anyone other than yourself).

Did you really need to be a jerk. So just, so you understand. OP managed to get a discussion going and people did reply to help in their own way.

Why do I fail to see any help in your reply
