What and when is a new class coming?

Hopefully never. The necromancer's design is terrible for TES and looks like some spooky halloween cheap knock off, and the arcanist was probably the weirdest and most awful yet. How horribly niche, lore debatable and headache causing would another one be.

Skills>classes.

As for the Necromancer, I do find some of the effects more silly than scary. I just wanted to be able to raise dead NPCs, both that were aggressive and not, to fight for me in combat.

The Arcanist does to me feel restrictive creatively when attempting to conceptualize new characters for the class. I still do not have this class on my account yet, and though Hermaeus Mora is one of my favorite daedra, I feel apathetic toward it.

ZOS really needs to focus on improving the immense content that we already have. We don't need a new class again anytime soon. We need what we already have to be more balanced, more bug free and PvP to get some love.

What? How about a shape-changer like Selene? I’d LOVE to be able to transform into and/or summon spiders!

Not a healer class; it would be better if roles weren’t even tied to skill lines as that doesn’t give as much variety as in the original four classes which are theme-based. Anyway, every class should have unique buffs/debuffs and able to fill every role, ideally with different strengths and weaknesses and different feel of play-style. And Arcanist does feel different to play, so that’s a plus.

When? Patterns have already been posited based on warden (2017), necro (2019), arcanist (2023) putting the next class in 2031 or 2039 depending on the exponent…

Why are you even asking for a new class? We just got one. Seems a rather silly thing to ask, but who am I?
And no, ZoS never has and never will reveal their plans 4-5 years or even 10 months ahead of time so asking is rather pointless IMO.

Maybe I'll go on topic of combining player bases like most games these days do cross play. A good few. Cross play for pve content sounds fairly acceptable. That may had been an investment in past and didn't work.
