Werewolf Forms QoL Please?

I know it has been mentioned many times before but can vampirism and lycanthropy get a decent update?

Werewolf color should absolutely match hair color. Prove me wrong.

Also a feminine werewolf form is long overdue. Pleaseeeeee? 🥹😢

I was going to write a whole Bible about how dissapointed I am on this subject, but instead I'll give some actual feedback and ideas on how to fix it, though I haven't come up with a lot yet(I prefer vamps, so here's vamps).

Idea 1: Vampires as their own class type A

In this scenario, vampires become their own class, but not in the way you might be thinking.
Instead of a vampire class by itself, prior class identity is absorbed and therefore the only real change, asides from a VL form, which would be put in the "World" skill category, would be the class' VFX and Skill Icons.
Example: Sorcerer becomes a vampire. This sorcerer will now be summoning a Bloodfiend instead of a Scamp, a Blood Imp instead of a Twilight, a Gargoyle instead of an Atronach, and so on for all the sorc skills. This would repeat itself for DK, Arcanist, Necro and even NB. Numbers, damage types and all the numbo jumbo stays the same, the only thing to keep an eye on for balance would be VL, which by itself would already be limited to VL magicky and melee skills, similar to WW, but hopefully both will be improved and viable enough for all content (but not the go to OP meta must have cool street kid stuff).

In this idea, downsides to vampirism itself could also be toned down a notch or downright removed or made active only in a less detrimental state while in VL form as that'd be the only aspect of vampirism with actual numbers and not just RP.

Idea 1: Vampires as their own class type B

In this scenario, Vampires become a full fledged class with 3 skill lines. VL would probably have to be tied into one of them to avoid a 4th skill line, perhaps one with a "Shapeshifting", or "Monstrous Aspect" theme, but depending on how this is done, it might leave the class feeling like it's just got 2 skill lines and 3 ultimates which isn't ideal.
Vamps will most likely have to be created just like any char as keeping the transformation process around would be very, very hard on the code, which is why we don't have Class Tokens at the time this was written.
This scenario translates to more work for game developers as it'd be about everything that encompasses a class, not just VFX.

For the first option, please let VL (and WW!) parse monke and be viable without out-parse monke'ing normal players.
For the other option, balance is also important but in that case it'd be about classes vs classes which is a lot more work and harder to balance.

I am fully aware that for both of these it's easier said than done, but I have full confidence it can be done by a company like ZOS with whole departments for every single aspect of the game considering bigger things have been achieved for no profit by much smaller teams if not a single person (looking at 'em Skyrim mods).

I am also fully confident in the ability of players to come up with even more ideas and feedback.

So many ways to approach it. All I’m hoping for is werewolf color diversity and maybe a feminine werewolf form. Burn also prefer vampires.

I also wish vampires were their own class. I still like the concept of contracting vampirism from npc and players but your skills should morph to preset vamp skills. I don’t think there are enough vampire skills. Should have more vampire skills after you become a vampire.

Has anyone ever heard of a WERECAT? They could easily be tied into lore. I suggest WERECATS either as a new skill line or for the female model version of lycanthropy.

In the elder scrolls we actually have all manner of werebeast. Shark vulture crocodile lion bear wolf. And with the nature of hircine and his push toward shapeshifting, any animal is a candidate for transforming into.

Plus the bosmer have the innate ability to shift. One of the oathbreakers in ouze has the preferred form of a lion.

Honestly a wood elf-hircine dlc would be so awesome.

Werebeasts of all kinds would be pretty cool. I'd probably make them all the same (as werewolves,) just to keep it simple... It'd just be a cosmetic thing but it'd still be pretty awesome.

I think werecats in particular should maybe be left out though. Just because khajiits and all.

They shouldn’t look quite like that XD [snip]. It’s actually surprisingly hard to find good werecat art online. I’m guessing cultures call them by different names. Werecats are identical to werewolves only feline instead of kanine. I’m also still searching for a good image to show.

having a slightly different shape werewolf for lady characters would be nice, but not something that looks drastically different like the art you shared.

the vampire ultimates look only slightly different and aren't like two completely different vampires either.

I think it should work in a different way in ESO.

Lycanthropy is the disease which infects you differently depending on race.

Khajiits would become Werecats and Argonians would become Werelizards.

Werewolfs would still exist because any animal can be infected by the disease.

So a human would be infected in different ways depending on which were creature bit them.

lycanthropy comes from the Greek words lykos, meaning “wolf,” and anthrōpos, meaning “human being.”

ZOS will, more than likely, never include it :(.

Even when ESO turns 10. Even if it could bring them much money (people love customisation).

How do I know it? Because we've been asking for it for years. YEARS.

Recoloring a mount and making us want it? Sure. Recoloring a werewolf, adding some skills, not to mention new strains? So that people would buy it at nausem to their profit? Nah.

They have their own agenda, their own ideas - some of which are great, to be sure, but...

Other forms of werecreatures are called THERIANS. Therianthropic.

Werecats are not random mytho creatures. There are many little known terms to refer to all THERIAN creatures. Ailuranthrope is a type of WERECAT.

Wimec are a type of centaur cat or cattaur.

Lycanthropy in TES works on the basis of what infected the individual, regardless of race. There ARE werelions in lore, and unsurprisingly many are in the Elsweyr region, but it's not relegated to only Khajiit nor do Khajiit only transform into werelions.

You can sort of see this in action in the Solstheim expansion of TES5 wherein it is possible to run across werebears that transform from various races. The only difference is that these individuals were infected by another werebear, not that they had some sort of bear-adjacency.

Yes I get that. I was just answering the question of other bipedal werecreautures. I commented about rando mytho creautures cause I saw some funny ones below haha.

Could just add werecat npc mobs like blood fiends.

No I hope they wouldn’t look like a Khajit lol. It would definitely look more like a senche raht. I’m literally envisioning a werewolf with cat ears and lips. There is also the shifting from human to beast aspect. I’m guessing they’re in full werecat form in those image. It’s really hard to find the humanoid form.

I did comment that good werecat art is hard to find as they’re lesser known. Those examples really suck yes. A werecat is more humanoid like a werewolf than it is animalistic.

This post was more about werewolves and vampires though haha. And maybe adding a feminine form for werewolves. Just suggested a werecat form for females.

I think the idea of Therianthropic creatures is just fun and people get excited. Haha. So do I.

At least they added something for vampires that I've wanted since day one of playing one - feed attacks on NPCs heal you to full health.

They didn't used to. So happy they fixed this because it was infuriating that the drain skill healed you, but literally draining someone to death did nada.
