[BUG] Retaking the Pass (Greenshade)

(With the forums being an utter mess and almost impossible to navigate, I am honestly not going to bother to go through it to see if this has been reported before).

Quest: Retaking the Pass

In this quest, after having collected and placed the three skulls, you have to close three shadow portals but it is not possible to close the gates. When you kill the three mages who guard each portal, they will instantly respawn and quest dialogue trigger again. It is not possible to close the portals, nor are they actually interactable, between the time you kill the mages and they respawn.

On a side note, masses of people are farming these insta-respawn portals for good XP right now, too.

Quest is bugged even in veteran version, preventing almanac from being completed.

Can't seem to find any info regarding this bug, nor all the rollbacks that Greenshade is suffering from.. :S really annoying cause it blocks the questline for the Dominion

Having spoken to a GM ingame, they are unable to fix it.

I've about lost my patience with this game, and Greenshade in particular which is broken beyond all reason.

Well, this needs to be fixed, as it leads into the next zone and the rest of the story quests (as well as several more in-zone quests). One quest, or even two being bugged is perfectly acceptable in an MMO launch, but when it's a story quest that leads to innumerable quests down the road, it needs to be fixed ASAP. How many quests are we going to be missing out on because of this one bugged step in one quest? Twenty? Not to mention the entire AD storyline not progressing.

TL;DR

Fix the quest, pretty please.

They might as well disable that stage untill they actualy found a solution. Missing out a great part of the story because of this.

This added with the constant dc/rollbacks makes it unplayable at the moment I'm waiting until they fix it before I start again tried to play but dc every 5 minutes makes it hard

Patience, guys. This used to work so a fix will come. The Live server is having some teething issues but that is only to be expected. Just want to make sure this quest gets priority on the "quest fix list".

Yeah I've made some progress with the quests in greenshade as in all of the quests but Retaking the Pass/Shades of Green(which is funny cause Shades is a 3 part quest and only part not doable is retaking the pass area) and there follow ups, and Handmade Guardian and it's follow up if any. Just keep a mental note on were the problem quests are and retrace after the fix.

Hi Jason. The megathread was about the rollbacks and all this little things, but this thread here is about a quest that is still definitely not working. Could we have an update on this ? It should be more easier to solve, we all know what is the problem : closing the portal is not validated and the portal respawn way to quick (Which I think, is part of the problem).
Could you please fix this ASAP ? It's not like this quest is a part of the main quest... Oh wait... IT IS.

This is nothing like the issue we are having. The real issue we have now is that the quest "Retaking the pass" in greenwood is not letting us proceed with our quest. It is stuck on the part "Close the shadow rifts: 0/3" but whenever we try to close a rift the monster respawn to fast to let the npc with us finish the ritual.
Also the npc following the player also randomly despawns and you have to relog to get him back.

Please fix this fast. We need it for the main quest line as aldmeri dominion!

You can skip this quest and still continiue the main story if you will.

Good to know, but I'd really like to know what happens. Also, I think at least a response could be expected, since a lot of players have an issue with that quest...

a company cant fix single quest in 48 hours what a great job so im starting to ask question should i continue paying for this game? 48 hours is great time if u have a good tech-team this is why blizzard wins agains every mmo guardian quest is also in bugged 72 hours this is nonesense...
