✭I generally don't buy games early on unless I am incredibly interested and Baldur's Gate series of games never really appealed to me that much.
I used to read the Forgotten Realms books but, I got sick of the direction the world was taking over a decade ago.

The early games (the Pools of Radiance series and Eye of the Beholder series) as well as Menzoberranzan, Descent to Undermountain, NWN1 and BG 1 (plus the Unlimited Adventure "construction kit") were a lot of fun for me. By BG2 and NWN2 I was disenchanted - and by that time I'd come across Arena, which instantly meant I had a new home in the TES "game universe".
I have one friend who's playing BG3. He's loving it. No one else I know has any interest in it.______________________________________________________

I played Skyrim on release, haven't seen a more buggy game.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I will do, but not yet. Summer is always very busy for me and I'm still playing Tears of the Kingdom in addition to ESO and my other MMO, which has an expansion coming out soon. I also got a new game called Stray Gods recently, but that's apparently quite short.
I definitely want Baldur's Gate 3, and I will get it, but not yet. (Besides I never actually finished Baldur's Gate 2, I think I still have my save file somewhere so I feel like I should do that first.)
I've never been the type to only play 1 game at a time, I'm always going between a few different ones based on what I feel like playing at the time. Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.0 -

✭BG3 is a bit overhyped. Also not familiar with lore of BG series, this is a major problem for me. Playing the 3rd game without knowing what was there in the first two is not so great, even if connection is small.0
