Their set system really is silly imo though, they have forced themselves into making an entire set for zones, dungeons, trials etc. theres too many it just wasters down the purpose imo.
I was once Banned for making a game criticism. Think about that.

I was just talking with a friend today about how they should stop releasing sets (specifically overland and crafted but even all the dungeon, trial, PvP, and arena sets are a bit much). They're very clearly running out of ideas. Most seem useless, some are weaker versions of ones that already exist, or in an attempt to make unique sets they add some nonsense requirements to trigger whatever OP proc they have.
Especially as someone with build burnout, I'm getting kind of irritated that every chapter and DLC the only new combat options I'm given are tied to gear sets that are worse than what I have been using for the last three years. Would love to see them take the resources they put into sets, especially proc sets, into actual knew abilities and skill lines. I've even gone over a somewhat nonsense idea with friends about zones unlocking an ability for each class, similar to what WoW had with their convenant system in Shadowlands, as a replacement for sets haha because honestly, sets are getting a little out of hand and truly don't seem to be doing that much for the game. I'd take anything else at this point (words I might regret saying when it comes to Zenimax).

I think what happened is they started selling dlc/expansion for a very high price, cost of brand new full games, for little more than 1 small zone, dungeons were sep dlc or you had to sub to access them and i think to buff content they just started promoting X amount of new sets to farem in this dlc/expansion for your collection system. I don;t like it. I'm taking a break now indefinatly and I went back to WoW, Granted i'm mostly playing starfield now but WoW i think should just be my go to game as it is well balanced in pve/pvp, has mythic dungeons to challenge you and raids to do weekly for fun with a guild and pvp even if it is questionable at times lol. I mean compare Necrom size to Dragonflight, both cost the same amount pretty much to buy, necrom in 2 small ish zones, very repetitive, but dragon flight was amazing, 5 massive zones and another on the way in the next big update, And although gear outside of raid sets is harder to farm at least everything fits together and has a purpose, I look up where to get the BIS Gloves i need at my ilvl and go farm them. It's far more structured than ESO and gives you a better feeling of progression and power gain. We will have to see what ESO does next now they have stopped the yearly expansion thing but they should literally release much bigger expansion with 4+zones, inc dungeons and raids for the price they ask for.
