Random account bans accusations of cheating

Anyone experiencing this ? My friend who isn’t a cheater just got sever kicked and an email from ZOS saying your account is banned for cheating and it will take us a few weeks to a few months to investigate it !!! Spoke to a few in my guild who say it’s been happening to ppl they know recently ZOS just kicks them ban them and send that email about investigating , surely is someone is reported for cheating then they look into it before banning them to make sure they have sufficient evidence of actual cheating but they seem to ban you first then investigate it which can take months

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno thank you for the update , it’s a little concerning to he honest as these are pretty decent player just trying to play the game , it needs to be investigated ASAP though as it’s taking peoples time away from the game and it has a massive knock in effect on in game guilds, events , groups ect not alone the time people out into playing eso so I hope it’s sorted out soon
