Imperial not a playable race

I ordered the Imperial Ed. from Game Stop. I did not know they are not eligible for the 5 day head start.
Entered my Acct Key and could not play as an Imperial.
Went to the game support FAQ and every answer said that you can play as an Imperial with the 5 day Head Start but nothing mentions the 3 day head start or what happens when you buy from a vendor.

So, am I stuck waiting for April 4, to play as an Imperial?
I was supposed to play with some friends but do not want to start a character that I will not keep.

One bright spot, 7 calls to Game Stop, 3 wrong numbers (they said they were connecting me to Zenimax but I got EA and then UBsoft) and 3 tickets to Customer Service, has made the point moot because it is now 3 pm and half the day (I took vacation to play) is now gone and I work nights, so, I will not be able to play with them very long.

Sounds like Gamestop *** up... I ordered mine from them as well.. was given 5 day early access (as it was supposed to be for Imperial) and have access.

Seeing as you were given 3 day and don't have Imperial sounds like they gave you a early access code to a standard edition not an imperial..... hopefully you get an imperial edition from them on 4/4

That is weird , if anything the code that was given you at first is probably the error , since if you had the right code you would have 5 days head start AND the imperials.

Game Stop said the 5 day codes was limited and they gave me a 3 day code. Which I am upset about (one of many things ... I am in a controlled burn right now, veryveryvery upset).

But I should still be able to play as an Imperial I would think, who wants a 3 day head start just to not play the character afterwards.

I am disappointed that Zenimax Customer Service has not gotten back to me. And the phone customer service is a dead loop. They give you a web site that you have to register to access and I'm so upset that I gave up on that and came here.

Not sure if anyone else is having this same problem because I don't read German and it seems my forum is German.

Another thing in my long list of horribles today.

Imperial = 5 day... so when Gamestop gave you 3 day (probably because they over sold Imperial) and you put that code in the game saw that code as a 3 day standard... the game has no way to know or verify that you purchased Imperial until you get the actually copy of the game and input the activation code from the box

Sounds like you have to wait until launch day when you enter your official Imperial edition code before you can play as Imperial. Gamestop gave you the wrong code (it should have been 5-day) which is what has screwed up your ability to play as Imperial.

As I mentioned above, I called them 7 times and they assure me that the 3 day code is the Imperial Edition code. the 5 day code was for a limited number by Zenimaz

asked point blank if there is a 3 day Imperial Ed. Code.
guy said "No. I don't know why they gave you a 3 day code. We ran out of the 5 day codes and you have to go to the manufacturer to get it."

Now my question is: Is my Account Locked on a standard Edition?

Well , it cant be "locked" , because they plan to sell the upgrade to the imperial edt in the shop , which means it is 100% possible to upgrade the account.

But that is kinda of messy , i would wait for the support to return , they did say it may take up to 24 hrs to return a ticket.

I preordered the physical imperial edition from amazon, and the early access key they emailed me gives me access to the imperial.

No your account is not "locked" the only thing locked is the Early Access (being locked to standard edition)... IF you actually get an IE copy of the game and put in the code from the inside the game box it will then activate your account to IE access
