If 2/3 of the announcement is TBD, who needs an announcement at all?

The big piece of information here is "no August event" which is nice to know. A little break from events is definitely welcome.

I was thinking they would leave September open since Starfield is coming out and a lot of people will be playing that instead.
Pretty sure that dual events in Sept is a better way to retain players attention from Starfield than letting them sit.
But honestly, I doubt Starfield will be a problem. Many players who play this game play other games at the same time. And for the ones who do not, ESO risks the same player retention falloffs with any major game release. Starfield isn't really abnormal to that.

Starfield is a Bethesda game. If they ‘lose’ people from ESO to Starfield, they make money. Where if Starfield doesn’t poach any players from ESO, they don’t make as much money. That’s why it’s odd.

I know, I just hope we will be able to chose. In other "year long story" events, usually we got 1 event ticket for 1 "Chapter size" zone daily quest and other event ticket for smaller "dlc size" zone daily quest (example Northern Elsweyr & Southern Elsweyr).Tommy_The_Gun wrote: »I sincerely do hope that they are not gonna put event tickets behind the Telvanni "world event" Dungeon with no group finder daily quest....
repeatable/daily quests in dlc events give event tickets so the bastion nymic daily quest would be one of them
the others would be the delve, world boss, and trial quests
plenty of choice

But the current "year long story" only has 1 zone and there won't be any additional zones for this year "theme". So my fear is that they will do 1 event ticket for one daily quest and the other for the dreaded & disliked "World Event" that is either totally un-doable for majority of players or takes ages to solo. I just hope they realise backlash it will cause, should the decide to do that.

I wonder why precise information about dates is not given to players. Who benefits from not giving certainties? Is it so bad that players want to schedule their commitments to be able to participate more in events? Why stop players from making their own plans with the calendar? In the MMORPG game I played years ago, the calendar meticulously predicted dates for events two months in advance. I don't understand why it's not possible here.
